well i was watching it on tv and i yelled it out right away....i had to check on the rule book to make sure that he has to be established in the back court to catch it , but i was right and the refs should know that right away and called it.
I'll say it again two bads calls against the Heat and two against the Mavs so it evens out, Howard blew the game forget about the refs

Wade, Nowitzski and Terry aside, ... all due respect, ... but this has really been an unattractive final, in my humble opinion...

oh how i long for the days when the NBA finals involved team basketball, 80% free throw shooting and boring isolation plays reserved only for Dominique Wilkins...

There is always soccer!

As much tension (back and forth, extended period, Wade's explosion) as there is, I'd tend to agree with you. The play is certainly lackluster. As the BEST team isn't even out there (the Knicks ;))

No but you can let the players play....in fast motion its not as obvious Wade was in the frontcourt trust me, and what if your the ref you blow the whistle and get it wrong?

If the guy is standing there dribbling the ball and runs into the backcourt yes you call it, but on the inbound pass? If there is ANY doubt in your mind you just cant call it

Did they just let the players play on two weak foul calls on Dirk and Wade...especially when just about EVERY national sports media outlet is questioning the validity of the latter call? Hell Devin Harris goes crashing through the lane on a regular and there are rarely any fouls called on him. Whe were saying is that they definitely aren't calling it both ways when it comes to a player driving to the hoop.
There was NO doubt in my mind about the catching the ball in midair and I'm watching TV in S. Carolina, I just had to check and clarify the rule. These refs are just NOT in top of their game these whole playoffs

What? Well, then I suppose you agree with me that the foul on Wade was better off left uncalled, letting the players play in that situation unless the foul is egregious.

A slap on the arm and knee to the leg is a foul, regardless of circumstance, plus Dirk was dumb and put his hands on Wades back (which you never do because even if you dont push the refs will ALWAYS make that call)

Thank you, please next time call me a whiner and don't compare me with Avery...much easier you know

i think neither team is great but these are 2 of the best teams in the league with two of the best players.....i think its been a fun series with a lot of ups and downs on both sides.....very entertaining and unpredictable.....

If you want to change that call we have to go back and change every call in the game that might have been wrong....and by that point this isnt even an issue

The refs didnt lose the game Dallas did, they had every chance in the world and didnt come through
