Not sure who which one player they could take away to impact the offense. That will not work this year because we have too many weapons who know what they are doing and where they are supposed to be.
Kenny Stills: 9/184/3 (20.4 average)
Albert Wilson: 8/142/2 (17.8 avg)
Jakeem Grant: 9/135/2 (15 avg)
Danny Amendola: 11/100/0 (10 avg)
Now DeVante Parker is back...2/40/0 (20 avg)
and Gesicki is picking up steam...4/42/0 (10.5 avg)
Then you have Drake and Gore to add to the mix.
The idea would be to pressure Tannehill but too many of our guys have short area quickness and can get open quickly. Also who is their pass rush threat?
Hightower is not the same player he once was after coming back from a pec tear....
However, two games into the season, Hightower clearly has not regained his pre-injury form. Whether due to injury or some other cause, Hightower thus far has lacked his usual explosion, and looks slow on the field. Perhaps the Patriots erred in counting on Hightower to get back to his pre-injury level of play, because while he was never a good defender in pass coverage, Hightower’s calling-card, his pass rush, has also been lacking to start the season.

Deatrick Wise has 2.5 sacks and Trey Flowers has 1.5 and he missed last week. That's it for sacks. Our tackles are playing very well.
They are rotating 4 DT's but no one that is really disruptive. Malcom Brown, Lawrence Guy, Danny Shelton & Adam Butler. Kerryon Johnson was just the first back in Detroit to gain 100 yards for the first time in 70 games. He is not on Drakes level. He had 17 and 43 yards the weeks prior. The Detroit line looked like all stars in that game.
They gave up 31 points to the Jags who were without Fournette. Bortles put up 376 yards and 4 TD's while spreading around the ball to 9 receivers.
Minus a complete melt down by our team with stupid penalties, I think we have a great shot for an upset. We are currently 6th least penalized team in the league.
There LB's are not good. In coverage....forget it. I assume they will run a lot of dime as they typically do with 3 safeties. That just opens them up for the running game.
LACK OF ATHLETICISM ON DEFENSE Missed tackles won’t tell the whole story Sunday, because the Patriots weren’t even athletic enough to get close enough to Lions skill players to whiff.

Check out the article. It points out a few other weaknesses. Here is another...
Brady is 3-of-13 for 83 yards with an interception on passes 20 yards or over this season. He hasn’t completed a deep pass since the Patriots’ Week 1 win over the Houston Texans.
