Left So Fla, never the Fins...
enigmatics said:See that is the optimal scenario. Ricky's debt to the team isn't truly a debt. Don't get me wrong, I want to see him pay that back, but as far as it goes, Wayne's used to giving away signing bonuses and that 8.6 will not be missed all that much in the broad scope of things. If it were 80.6 then that would be a different story. The thing I don't see alot of people bringing up is Ricky's age factor and no matter what he does he's always going to go down as a malcontent. At this point in his career, there's really no use trying to resurrect him to gain something in trade value. He's too old now, it's not like he's 24 and making silly life choices.
........and for having him as a 1-2 combo with Brown? I personally don't want him anywhere near Ronny. Just seems like a pipe dream that Ricky could ever come in and provide a serious effect on this team. Alot of time has past, alot of things have changed. Football is starting to move on without Ricky.
As I said, that was a "best case scenario". RW has made his bed and now must lie in it, but the Fins need to extract as much as we can from him in value. As to his influence on Brown...I agree. I am not an advocate of him returning, just trying to look at the best outlook...
