I think what most fellow Dolfans aren't thinking about is the "primary issue" at hand that the FO is trying to establish which is for us to endure a 3 year rebuilding project.
Hence, this is Year 3 of that project and now that we've finally brought in the kind of much needed aggressive defensive-minded personnel (Nolan as the DC, and Sheridan as the LB coach) to effectively cure this tainted Defense thanks to Pasqualoni and his "predictable/vanilla" schemes NOW IS THE TIME to put fear into ALL of the opposing offenses we confront this upcoming season.
Veteran leadership is a must and I understand that but come on people some of us are acting like Charlie Anderson won't or can't replace JT's void if he should sign elsewhere. Anderson did an admirable job filling in for JT if he needed a breather, and also the few games he missed due to injury.
I also think that Nolan is more concerned with having veteran leadership at the FS and NT skill positions as opposed to the LB core. I mean look what he did with an "inexperienced OLB" in Elvis Dumervil (he made Dumervil a Pro-Bowler in his 1 and only season as the Broncos D. Coordinator).
JT has painfully and visibly lost a few steps so why not get younger and faster in the front 7????
