This Season Encapsulated In One Photo

I wish that photo would mean big changes but you never know with Ross. He always does everything half ass when everyone knows he needs to clean house.

One of the biggest issues this country suffers from is a lack of true leaders and decision makers.

Just because you have money, doesn't make you a leader.
Just because you say "work smarter, not harder", doesn't make you a decision maker.
Just because you make difficult decisions in a time frame that get's you home by 5:00 in time for dinner, doesn't make you a decision maker.
Just because you have a title and responsibilities, doesn't make you a leader.

We have too many people being paid to be decision makers and leaders in the country, in every day life and in sports, but they are not. The reigns have been handed over to people not qualified.

We live in a time in which quick decisions are encouraged and believed to represent intelligence, they do not.

The majority of fans on this board believe 3 years should completely rebuild a franchise. But most have never seen or experienced a franchise successfully rebuilt. So, where did 3 years come from? Who set the precedence? And what about the teams who did it in 2, 4, 5 or longer?

We have forgotten how to make decisions and we are afraid to lead. We are too concerned with how things play in the media. We are too concerned with pleasing everyone.

We have an entire Front Office and Coaching Staff chalked full of people who cannot effectively lead or make decisions.

You want to see what bewilderment and general ignorance looks like in the face of failure? Look at Tannenbaum. Can anyone definitively identify WHAT TB does? What is his role? He makes a lot of money to be insulated from the happenings on the field. And to not really have a lot of football knowledge. Could he even diagram a Cover 3, Cover 2 or an offensive play?

You want to see what a powerless owner looks like who is in over his head? Look at Ross. The Dolphins are his pet project.

You want to see a winner who knows what excellence looks like and cannot tolerate failure? Look at Marino. He is the least powerful man in that picture and he has forgotten more about football than the other two combined will ever learn.

There is so much wrong with that picture. I'm ashamed it was taken. It is a true statement of our reality.

I am ready for Ross to sell the team.

To be fair....when Gase was hired he was one of the hottest coaching prospects available. You never know how these things will work out....

Correct. People like to point out fails (Philbin, Haris, DJ, Gase) as if no other teams makes stupid decisions.

The difference is no other team is mired in mediocrity for such an extended period of time as the Dolphins. 25 years of .500 is absolutely worth the belly aching.

I try to watch one specific network late at night and allow them to make decisions for me

Gase presser today sounds like a guy worried about his job security. Excuse making. Condescending. We only have 53 guys- not 90. We started 3-0. All bullshit. Texans started 1-4? Jags started a HS level Oline.

Maybe we haven't experienced a successful rebuild but we've certainly seen it. Just look around the NFL, year after year bottom level teams rise from mediocrity within 3 years after hiring the right coach/GM.

Eagles won the Super Bowl in Doug Pederson's 2nd year.
The 49ers went 8 years without a winning record and than went to 3 straight NFC conference games with Harbaugh.
Patriots won the Super Bowl Belichicks 2nd year.
Steelers won the Super Bowl Tomlins 2nd year.
Giants had 3 straight play off appearances starting Coughlin's 2nd year and won the SB his 4th year.
Ravens went to the playoffs the 1st 5 years of Harbaugh's tenure and won the SB his 5th.
Falcons had 2 straight playoff appearances starting Quinn's 2nd year and went to the SB his 2nd year.
Bear went to the SB Lovie Smiths 3rd year
Andy Reid has gone to the playoffs 5 of his 1st 6 years with the Chiefs and went to the playoffs 5 of his 1st 6 years with the Eagles going to the SB his 6th year.

How many new HCs over that time?

I love these circulating pictures. They say it all.

Marino looks like he's in the process of squeezing out a painful fart.

Ross looks like he doesn't want to smell more farts even though he knows they're coming.

Tannenbaum looks like he hopes Ross doesn't figure out he's the one whose been crop dusting the entire game.

Farts.
LMAO!!! So great.
