Time to Question the leadership in the Ravens' locker room

1. Excuse.

Neither is excusable, but sugar Ray seemed to go the extra mile....but fine, they both are wrong.

2. He was going to get cut anyways and it made it much easier, plus there wasn't as much money tied up in him. Same reason Aldon Smith hasn't been cut. Hernandez was cut because, well, murder.

Glad to see you and Junc both are so informed that you already know who was making the roster, and who wasn't.

THIS!!! Im mind blown how theres so much attention to this Manziel BS (which is becoming really annoying already) and NOTHING is said about Gronk...lol...media is trash.

Manziel is a bigger story than Mr. Glass. If it was Tom Brady, it might be a different story.

That's just an ability to judge talent, of which Johnson had little left. More mouth than talent at that point.

Wow, your last paragraph is exactly what I'm talking about. Straight up defending him. I can see it now, "uh, what if she was hitting ray rice before they got on the elevator. We'll never know. All I'm saying is that she could be just as crazy as him. I mean, if he was a jet, then obviously it was all him, but I this case we just don't know and the media is blowing it out of proportion.

I am not defending him, I am showing you how much worse it was with the one way incident with Sugar Ray. I wrote both were nut jobs, between Marshall and his wife. I think all those cases show how immature they all are.

Sad, but that seems to be the case. Manziel goes to Vegas and the world flips out on him and the Browns. Gronk was there with him, but nothing said about that or the Patriots.

I disagree with this point. Gronkowski has been in the league for a few years and when healthy is an established TE. A guy like him should be able to do whatever he wants in a place like Vegas (well mostly anyone should as well). Manizel, the media boy, was drafted to either eventually be the franchise QB in Cleveland or to be the guy now. So those who complained about his trip look at him as a guy who hasn't played yet that needs to do all he can to win the job now as a rookie.

I disagree with people complaining about Manziel's trip. I don't even like the guy but he didn't do anything wrong. It was cleared with the Cleveland coaching staff so who gives a ****?

Miami was going to cut Johnson anyway, if he could still play they wouldn't have cut him.

Agreed. The funny thing is how many people here still think him getting cut was BS. The guy's in the CFL now isn't he? Obviously he still has all-pro talent :rolleyes2:

Just as I suspected. A video of Pouncey's mental exam has surfaced.

Junc has it right. Win, and the narrative disappears. It doesn't help that Dolphins leadership appears hellbent on perpetuating it's perception of dysfunction at every turn.

If I were Ross, I would have hired the best PR person money could buy long ago... The Dolphins have a perception problem, and only an expert PR person or WINNING could fix it at this stage.

Given that the Dolphins are incapable of fixing the problem by actually winning, I suppose the PR Expert might not be a bad idea. Maybe they can hire the same group that works for the Marlins.

No he doesn't, because the team immediately released him. I think it was the very next day.

The point is that Belichick didn't get the heat that our staff got when the media said Philbin should have known what was going on in his locker room! How can Belichick not know that he has a damn serial killer in the building and Philbin is destroyed because he has a couple of over the top comedians in his?

Some teams can do stupid things and the media looks the other way! Belichick drafts a qb in the second round and it is this great out of the box selection. We draft a position of need and yeah maybe a bit early but can any of them that didn't understand our pick at 19 show us the grade that our gm had on the guy? I guess Kiper and Mcshay know best!

Actually worse than that even: in that extensive Rolling Stone article, Hernandez went to Belicheat at one point telling him that his associates were a bad influence and asked for help. Belicheat paid lip service and told him to move into an apartment on the other side of town. Fact: if Hernandez was involved in a U of FL shooting and NE's scouts didn't vet him properly then, then indirectly by drafting and bringing Hernandez to Foxboro, the Pats are indirectly responsible for 3 deaths.

I didn't realize he murdered those guys in the locker room. In that case, yes, Belichick definitely should have been aware and the media certainly should have given that angle more coverage. I think we can all agree that murdering people in the locker room creates a far worse working environment than sexual harassment, bullying, and racist insults.

That's one of the benefits of making it to the conference championship 7 out of 10 years; people assume you know what your doing. A perennial losing/mediocre team, on the other hand, isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt. As with everything, the ultimate solution is to win. Give them something more interesting to write about. Winning overshadows almost everything.

You know why it feels like Rice hasn't gotten much coverage, despite the fact that he has? Because they are also talking about how the Ravens may have just rebuilt their defense and will likely be a SB contender again this year. What is the alternate story the Phins have given? Certainly not that.

That being said, I have actually seen some positive articles about the fins. Unfortunately, they are overshadowed by people still whining about how much coverage Bullygate received.

All of the bullying didn't happen in the locker room. A lot of it happened outside of the locker room. I don't care where he killed them the media doesn't grill Belichick about what he knew and why didn't he keep a closer eye on such a troubled young man. The press and the puppets that believe everything they say wanted Philbins head because he didn't realize that 2 6-4 330 lb men were talking about each others mother! Martin had 2 options and he did neither! He could have told someone or he could have knocked Incognitos ass out colder than a milk shake! He did neither!

This sounds like the argument the nba uses when they tell you "well he can get that call" or " he has earned the right to get that call" A foul is a foul regardless if you have won 10 rings or 0! Championships shouldn't minimize the fact that Hernandez played for the Patriots after the double homicide in Boston. Just let that sink in for a minute! He was on the team, in games, catching passes from Brady and in meetings with the coaching staff! Belichick doesn't have to answer anymore questions about that other than the 1 press conference they did when they cut him!
