Todd McShay - "Andrew Luck's best fit would be in MIAMI

thats what we all should hope for...a team that already has a franchise caliber qb ends up with the #1 and #2 picks...although that usually doesn't happen with teams who do have that caliber qb...the panthers d will make them in play i'd say for the top pick or close next year...and yeah we need to go all out in our trade offer...you think its too much add a little more...especially if its luck...but for either get ready to have a lot of competition

better come correct when you make an offer

What we really need to hope for is the Dolphins get the #1 pick based on having the worst record and then not having to trade any picks to draft Luck.

If that were to happen, then yea fine . . . but I don't think 2 games against 2 elite offenses is justice enough to think Miami is gonna have the worst record in the NFL after the season. Now they lose this week, then it could get ugly real quick.

Longshot but possible. I agree about this week. They lose that then have Jets and Chargers on road back-to-backs... we'll be back in Miami at 0-5.

Why would the Colts give up the #1 pick and pass on Luck? It's PERFECT for them to draft him. Let Peyton groom him until he's done, Andrew Luck takes over, boom.. another 10+ years of success.

The problem with that is I can't see Luck wanting to sit behind Manning for more than maybe a year. So if Manning is healthy before the draft and wants to play for about four or five more years, I can't see the Colts taking Luck because he is going to want to play a lot of sooner than that. Luck would probably start next year on most of the teams that draft him. The only way I see the Colts drafting him is if they knew Manning was pretty much done at that point.

were not going to get andrew luck. were going to do what we always do, pick in the low to mid teens and not take a qb unless someone else is running the show here next season. i for one am so tired of watching ****ty football that i wouldn't care if this ****ing team loses every game and gets the entire front office fired and the number one overall pick. that is my wet dream, i am tired of mediocrity all my hope and optimism is already gone.

I think I would feel this way after a 0-5 start. We lose this weekend, go out to San Diego and lose, have a whole 2 weeks again to think about it and then lose up @ the Meadowlands against the Jets . . . yea I would be thinking lets pack it in and "suck for luck".

As long as Carey and Columbo are manning the right side of the line and Solai and the rest of the defense have conditioning issues.

Suck for Luck!!

Man the bigger story would be how empty that stadium is on Tebow day with the team 0-5. Ross is gonna find out Miami could give 2 ****s about a Florida Gator ceremony when the team is 0 and ****ing 5.

i never used to have that attitude but the glass can only be half full for so long before whatever is in it evaporates. Daniel thomas is really the only thing im looking forward to seeing already.
edit: pouncey also

Would be nice to see Clyde Gates run by a few guys and catch a longball this season. I still like watching Wake work, the guy gives so much effort, even if he doesn't get the sack. I enjoyed Pouncey playing like the best player on this line last week also. Dude was clearing paths for the running game. Wanna see what Charles Clay brings in the former as an athletic TE/FB option. Still wanna see Reggie do some work in space. If I don't see it by the Jets game, I won't be seeing it at all because I know the game are gonna get blacked out and unless I get close to free tickets I ain't going to any games this year. I'll catch the Fins on Redzone (if they are allowed to show it, which I'm guessing they would be)

I just don't see how we don't win more games than Seattle and Kansas City and I think both those teams would jump at Luck. And if Seattle picks before us they'd probably take Barkley as well.

Here's another possible scenario: Carolina holds the #2 pick and Luck is already off the board. Do we make a move to #2 to take Barkley and what do we trade?

I can almost guarantee that if we are not #1 and in a position to take Luck, we will stay where we are at and draft a DT.

They'll let Soliai go and draft the best DT they can get.
