Todd McShay - "Andrew Luck's best fit would be in MIAMI

I might be missing something, but is Henne the reason why we are losing now? The problem is more deep rooted than just the QB.

Have you seen the Colts without Manning? Elite QBs makes EVERYONE on the team better. Colts have ALWAYS had bad defense but they play better and harder with Manning behind center. Every player plays better if the QB is someone every player has faith in. Ever wonder why a baseball team seems to just perform better when their top pitcher is on the mound? Defensive baseball players are making catches and hitters are hitting balls they'd never catch or hit with some average guy pitching.

how about this? we have a crappy season as some suggested and still DONT get luck? F TANKING A SEASON. gtfo here.

That's the only realistic shot we have at getting Andrew Luck. But I'm sure you'd be much happier drafting around 15 or so and getting a right tackle prospect.

If it turns out that we suck enough to be in the ballpark to get Luck we MUST make it happen no matter what we have to give up. It's been too long without a bigtime Q.B. and it simply has to come to an end. We have all the other elements to be a great team ( assuming we have the brains to replace Colombo)so the trigger has to be pulled. Additionaly while were at it we should show Sparano and Ireland the door and replace them with guys that know what the hell their doing.

Exactly, I am sure that guy is satisfied with the same old crap. Well I am a not!

Colts will take Luck #1 if they have the pick, bank on it. Luck will sit the first year and they'll gauge where Manning is. If Manning is back to his old form, then they can trade 1 of them for a King's ransom. You never pass on a player of this calibre, I don't care how good Peyton is(or was) but he's old. Packers are another example of this. That safe-pick idiot Ireland would probably be the only one to pass on Luck in that situation.

They wouldn't get much for Manning at that point because of his age and neck problems. But my point is Luck won't be willing to sit on the bench for three or four years when he has the ability to play right away. So if the Colts draft him and Manning comes back, they will probably have to let go of Manning. I can't see them both being on the team together for more than one year max.

i say we trade down, and draft a lg, jk, get this guy at all cost

You would have to trade up, hoping that a team like the Panthers are 1st, since they don't need a QB. Chiefs are going to want Luck, and they suck way more than the Dolphins.

I would trade the entire draft to move up and get Luck...it's time they took a damn chance and drafted a 1st round QB for the first time since Marino. There's a chance it would be a big bust...but a better chance he would be elite.

3 x 1st's will get you Luck, are you willing to give that up, i am...............

If that's all it takes, I'm in. Come to think of it, I'd trade Long, Vontae, Odrick, and Pouncey for Luck straight up and I'd even throw in Sparano and Ireland to replace their waterboys.

As ridiculous as this may sound, I do go to Stanford (graduate student) and have seen several members of the the football team riding around bikes on campus....including the great Andrew Luck. Palo Alto is a pretty small town, so you're bound to run into a few randoms along the way. Needless to say, it's fun going to the games and seeing a truly legitimate QB hucking the football around. Fear the Tree! F*ck Cal

As bad as we've been, we won't be anywhere near the position to draft andrew luck

Don't bet on it, this is a team game and if the wheels come off every team in this league can beat you.

I would have agreed with you before I saw how bad this defense is playing.
