Tom gamble wants dion Jordan in philly

It would have to be a deal we couldn't refuse. I don't think we've scratched the surface with Jordan.

No thanks. Hopefully the days of letting our good players go are over!

It's tough for us to say. We didn't see enough of him to really gauge him. I trust the Dolphins opinion if it happens, they see him every day.

Think about it. How much better would this team be if we had a "do over" on all our first round picks. This might be a chance for that. I wouldn't keep him just because we overpaid for him in the first place.

Too bad we didn't trade Wake a year ago. I remember posting that the age adjustment based on inactivity was flawed thinking. futurescout needs to take note. Walrus described it very well. You're too good to fall for that type of thing.

A year later the league saw the nicks in Wake and understands it's going to happen with greater regularity. His trade value is likely 3/5 or less compared to a year ago at this time.

I don't know about the Jordan trade. I'm not thrilled with him but it would require a gulp and a concession of poor value in return.

Sometimes you've just got to admit you screwed up and try to twist it to your advantage. For example, about 6 months ago I listened to a friend and made a moronic stock purchase in a company called iTalk. They had a very sexy ticker...TALK. I bought 5000 shares at $1.20 apiece. Then that night I started researching the company. It was a pile of crap. Their product wasn't anything special or desirable. It was an iPhone patch. Nobody wants a patch as opposed to a new innovative product. I discovered that the same crew behind TALK were shady characters who also ran a company called DJAK. The products were identical. Same worthless patch products. I realized that they were simply transferring to the sexier ticker, TALK, and lowering the price of the patch. Meanwhile, DJAK was trading for 6 cents. That's right, 6 cents. I immediately put in a sell order for TALK. If I were discovering this, I couldn't be alone. Sure enough, the stock started to plummet the next day. I was lucky to fill the order at $1.07 before it dropped much lower. I lost $500+ but then I stuck to my instincts and shorted the heck out of TALK. There was no reason it wouldn't drop to DJAK level. Sure enough, that's what happened. :D

If we have a confident general manager I'd target one or two guys toward #22 and send Jordan packing on draft day if our guy is still there at the Eagles' slot. But don't trade him blindly without knowing the exchange rate.

Right now Jordan is a project that is barely seeing the field. If we can get a first round pick for him that can help team now. Because thats what you want are guys that can contribute now. If they are first rounders. There is no guarantee that Jordan fits that ever in our defensive scheme! I think with 2 first round picks would help o line quite a bit.

No wtf why would u do anything like this

Wakes plush slacked off in the second half of the season

Vernon had like no sacks the last 4 games I think.

We need to keep our rushers fresh and we won't get anywhere near a player with Jordan's upside with that late round pick.

Gamble is a highly coveted person for a reason

To those of you defending the kid because he was injured, he played special teams. Consider yourself informed: you do not put an injured #3 overall in on special teams. You dont put a healthy #3 on special teams.

It was a dysfunctional pick all around. The coaches resented it and didn't play him.

The posters alleging this would be an Irelandesque trade, i have to agree with you. Id still pull the trigger.

When are you guys going to admit to yourselves that Jordan was one of the worst draft decisions in Miami Dolphin history, bolded, underlined, and framed in neon lights due to an historical debacle at OL? It was bad. It was Ted Ginn Jr, Jason Allen bad. Maybe not the pick. Time has yet to tell on Jordan. But the decision? Top worst.

Put it into perspective.

Our defensive line was stellar that year. We picked a defensive lineman.

We had/have one of the top 5 best DEs in the league. We drafted an DE.

A DE who may be more of a LB- we had signed 2 starting LBs.

We were ailing at OL. We jumped into the thickness of wonderful OL talent and dismissed it completely.

We were overjoyed with the # of draft picks we had at our disposal. It was time. Ireland had done a wonderful job accumulating them and it couldnt of been a better time of young talent overload seeing as we had only 2 or 3 (correct me on this) drafted players on the roster after 5 years. We gave away a high draft pick.

AND HE WAS INJURED!

I dont care what kind of potential you think Jordan has and I stand by that. I do not care if you think the kid can be Jason Taylor, Reggie White, god knows who the f@k as early as his 2nd year. Given the facts at your disposal; team needs, team personnel, defense scheme and philosophy- this was one the WORST draft DECISIONS of our generation.

Rarely is one given a chance to right such an atrocious wrong so quickly after a season wherein it was proven we are only 2 or 3 talents away from the playoffs.

I cant even sleep tonight due to this conjecture that is Armando reporting. I dont hate people because it usually affects the hater more than the hated. But tonight, I hate that little illegal Mexican looking prick.

Were the Browns dumb to dump the highly drafted Trent Richardson for a lesser pick? They got to kick the tires for a year and they decided they made a mistake drafting him. Our coaches got to see Jordan for a year and if they decide to trade him after spending the year with him, then it is probably a good decision. I don't think he fits in our 4-3 very well.

thats largely cus new management took over. It also takes two to tango. Someone has to make that offer/accept. So you make a decision based on strong possibility.

So they did a do over with new management. They figured we suck right now anyways. We are not the Cleveland Browns.

I would say lets see if Jordan can do something this year in this defense. If he is a sqaure peg in a circle then you make that move, but only if they give up something really good. Cam Wake slowed down a bit this year. Maybe his injury was holding him back more than we know.

Guys, Dion Jordan was a major reach. Honestly, I dont think he will ever live up to being a top 5 pick. I hope I'm wrong but I'm going on what I saw. Miami's entire rookie class hardly contributed this year besides Sturgis.

Just remember Odrick. Remember Jason Taylor. That is who Jordan is compared to no? JT didnt come alive til year 3 with improvement every year. Same thing with CB's. Look at the Jets rookie CB. He sucked.

No. Let him bulk up a little and after this coming season he may be Wakes replacement unless Wake bounces back this year. I would need the 22nd this year, a 2nd next year and throw in James Casey to even begin to think about it. I add Casey cuz as a tight end it would be nice to have a TE that knows the new OC and what he wants going into training camp
