trade rumor: Starks and 2012 draft pick to bengals for palmer. rumor...

Even after you sift through all the implausibilities with Brown and Mrs. Palmer you're left to wonder why Cincy would even particularly want Starks. Interior defensive line is one of the strengths on that team.

Before the preseason is over, I expect the Dolphins to trade on of their defensive ends. My predicition is that Phillip Merling will be traded somewhere, for perhaps another tight end or an early/mid round pick(thinking 3rd or 4th round pick).

palmers got the potential to get this team in the playoffs and maybe do some damage...all these other options including orton don't...palmer may not work out but his ceiling is MUCH higher than any of these other guys...

not sayin he'll come here and light it up but he's absolutely talented enough to win consistently with

I never ceased to be amazed that Dolphins fans think Merling has value around the league. A poor player just coming off a major injury who beat his pregnant wife... why yes, there's certainly a shortage of those guys around the league. I'm sure people are just chomping at the bit to give up a third round pick for him!

Not this bull**** again! Keep throwing **** at the wall eventually something will stick!

get 3rd or 4th rd pick in trade out of your head when it comes to philip merling...you MIGHT and i stress might get a 7th...

most likely he's a throw in in a deal or you cut him and someone else picks him up FOR FREE

Nah let's see what we can do with our QB this year and next year use starks and picks to get luck

New rumor:

Paul Soliai, Cameron Wake, Davone Bess and next year's first to Green Bay for Aaron Rodgers. See? I can to it too.

Palmer's the only option that doesn't completely waste a team built to win now.

Exactly. I remember last year people were talking about trading Patrick Turner, too... as if because he was a former third round pick that means he has any value.

theoretically speaking, I agree . . . still, you said it right, it is an option, definitely not a guaranteed thing and is still a risk that could easily bite us in the azz real quick.

But if you are intent on trading some picks/players for anybody . . . rolling the dice on Palmer makes more sense than Orton.

Still, I rather save the picks and roll with Henne/Moore . . . and if that doesn't work, kick out this regime and their non developing QB azzes and get a regime that puts more of a premium on the position and can evaluate and produce with that premium.

Palmer with no camp, limited desire and being inconsistent last year doesn't excite me either.

in a HEARTBEAT.

In addition, I will say it again. FO needs to suck up their pride and call Denver if Henne flops 1st half Friday. Offer a Dlinemen named Merling and a 3rd and see if they cut Orton lose. If not, you got to stick with Henne sink or swim and FINALLY take the QB of the future next year. Putting Moore in once again continues the stop gap QB bs.
Denver is not trading Orton. He is their starter. They are not turning the team over to Tebow. It's over. Let it go.

i'm not even sure starks pulls a 3rd round return...he's coming off a down year i could see it being a 4th even...in which case you just keep him unless you package him in a scenario like this palmer one

you guys see that back shoulder throw in the end zone from rodgers to greg jennings saturday night??? the cb had no chance...none...that throw was a freakin marvel

that kids rediculous
