trade rumor: Starks and 2012 draft pick to bengals for palmer. rumor...

You still haven't answered CK on whether this is made up or sourced at all.

And if they're trading a "high" pick (3rd or above) it's a ridiculous price. Palmer is fantastic, but it would hamper the team quite a bit - not to mention it would give them a great excuse to avoid drafting a QB for at least a couple of years.

IMO if this is true ,football starts with having the most important peice in place (QB) we are set on defence and the most we need on offence is G ,TE which we can get in rounds 3-5 or even FA so imo its not ridiculous. as long as we still draft a QB in the first round next year and let them learn behind palmer (if this is true) imho we are not to far off from being a very good football team again so we need to gamble a little bit to make it happen and put us up there with the elite teams. so it wouldnt be ridiculous at all if itwas starks and either a 2nd or 3rd i would do it .

and i'm gonna be in the minority on this but i don't believe the orton things dead...i just find it hard to believe that ireland and tony will tie their wagons to the qb they wanted to replace pretty much from the halfway point on last year...

someones coming...i just don't know who yet but the orton things not dead imo
Its dead on Denvers side Hoops. They wont trade him.

I think it's dead. I think Ireland has his eye on a few of these 3rd and 4th stringers who might get cut as the solution to the QB position. Lets face it, QB and TE are not very high on the "importance to the team" chart for Ireland.

well then denvers idiots...only thing for them he does is give em a few more meaningless wins in a bound for the basement season...elways making it harder on himself getting his qb in 2012 draft...play tebow and blow chunks and you'll be in good position for your qb next year

I think Stephen Ross told Jeff Ireland no first or 2nd day picks . . . to be honest with you. Ross may rub people the wrong way, but he isn't that dumb (I don't think). He knows the type of Qb's that could be coming out . . . he has talked behind the backs of Sparano and Ireland about "what ifs" . . . trust me, there is a plan in place and I seriously doubt it involves trading for Palmer/Orton.

I think they are settling to be quite honest with you and taking their chances with the new system, upgrade in speed/talent and fate.

Still, I think that roll of the dice works in our favor in the end.

No one throws an entire season for draft position.

Okay, I gotta admit, I like having people like enduro around. Makes reading the message board fun. :lol:

Elway is pretty full of himself IMO. He wants Luck but with this plan of going with Orton will screw that up, he will get them just enough wins to take them out of that picture.

If Henne sticks it up in front of the home fans this week (50/50) I think they will be FORCED to make a move.

D line is very deep and I doubt we can keep them all anyways so Randy to somebody for a QB might happen.

Palmer ????? might do well with the recievers we have but if not him somebody. Book it.

Ross will force a move.

~~~ GOOOO FINS ~~~
exactuly we cant keep but 53 on the roster so its either trade them and get something or just release them and get nothing and i agree if henne stinks it up this week in front of the home fans im with you .i think Ross will force a move ,its not like henne hasnt had the playbook since the lockout he knows what needs to be done and is no excuse so step up young man or step aside .
That price would mean Miami is NOT going to draft a QB for, at the very least, a couple of years. We would be set at QB, so there would be no reason.
Yes, we would be a very good team, but in 3-4 years we would be right back where we started. And I don't think this team is Superbowl bound with Palmer.
Normally I'd agree with you, but it's hard to look at Washington and actually believe Shanahan thinks he can win with that offense. If there was an owner in the NFL that would willingly throw a season to get the best QB to come out in a decade, it would be Snyder...
Honestly, I don't think I can counter your statement; however, Shanahan does like Grossman and I have heard Grossman has had a decent TC.
Even if this is total BS, which I think it is, it is still better than the hundred of sky is falling threads. Or worse, the "_____________ is better than Chad Henne" type thread. Today might have been the worst one when someone actually mentioned that Greg McElroy is better. :lol: Someone must have been sniffing paint.
denvers a top 10 pick lock no matter who they go with at qb...probably top 5 with tebow
hell last year with orton they won what 4 games...long season ahead for them
