My initial reaction to Winston was no way. Can't win in the NFL with that many turnovers.Trubisky is terrible, but I’m not completely opposed to the notion of drafting Tua at 5 to sit for a year while we rehabilitate the trade value of a Newton or Winston at QB in 2020.
But I just read a recent article that compared Winston's first five years to Peyton Manning's. I was surprised how close their numbers were. Granted, you have to factor in rule changes and how that affected Manning's first few years.
The article pointed out how much Manning improved after that, partly due to finally having a running game.
Not necessary advocating Winston, but that could allow Miami some great options in the draft at that #5 spot.
