Tua Tagovailoa has given Dolphins answers they needed and earned new contract

Josh Allen. Justin Herbert. Joe Burrow.

All got paid. How many won a SB?

Jow Burrow went to SB. Josh Allen went to AFC championship game I think. That would be good enough. It's close, there is a reason to give a guy another shot , a contract extension. Justin Herbert did not deserve contract extension, he did not perform just like Tua.

How do you account for the 24 times in the last 30 years a QB not on their rookie contact won a Superbowl?

So Peyton Manning, you woulda cut him if you were running the Colts?

I don't know, I'd have to look it up. Look up what Peyton's Colts did on his rookie contract and see whether there was a reason to give him another chance. If there is no reason to extend him, he did nothing, then I'd let him hit the market.

He didn't perform well enough in those games, so let's forget he's running the #1 offense in the NFL. Got it...
No he didn't and until he does I wouldn't give him a huge contract because those are the type of teams he will have to beat in the playoffs and to get to a Super Bowl at some point. Isn't that the ultimate goal?

Thank God you only play Madden in manager mode.

It is, and it seems this team is on the verge of being able to do so. My concern is that these are only standards for one position. Not for Tyreek, not for Mostert, not for for Ramsey, Phillips, etc etc.

And honestly, it seems like it's because you never wanted Tua in the first place, so you're just going to trash him until he gets us a SB, all the while wanting to extend players you do like. If you can't tell that Tua is not the problem, it's because you don't want to.

I'm torn.

I can't believe what Tua has become. He's worth every penny if we are to spend it.

On the other hand, how much are we to spend? I don't believe he should command top dollar.

Let's be honest, Tua lovers- he doesn't exactly put the team on his back as great as he's been.

So Im left in limbo except to say if me, no way do I let him walk.

Without Hill and Waddle, his receivers are worse than Kansas City's and he doesn't have Travis Kelce. No quarterback would succeed starting Cedric Wilson, Berrios, and Smythe.
Exactly. So if you devote too much space to a gigantic cap crippling contract...well..you'll have a qb that can't function either way you slice it.

Grier needs to be fair...yet prudent...so every one gets $ and is successful without compromising cap integrity.

Tua is part of the problem of not being able to beat good teams. Scoring 10 offensive points against a bad Eagles defense and 14 points against the Chiefs isn’t going to cut it. Coaching seems to be a problem in big games as well but Tua is not blameless either.

It seems you didn't even read what I said, and really just proves my point. Good work.

It's like half the fanbase has amnesia and can't remember WE SPENT 25 YEARS LOOKING FOR A PRO-BOWL QB!!!!
They are in a rut.
It's the rut "Lemmings" use as a slit trench. - LOL

I suspect that Sunday's game cause them to turn on the following whines:
Dolphins win ==> They still stink and won't do much in the layoffs.
Dolphins lose ==> They stink and won't do anything in the playoffs.

If the Dolphins do well in the playoffs and make it to the Super Bowl, we will hear ==> They were lucky to get in but don't have a chance to win it.

If the Dolphins lose the Super Bowl, we will hear ==> We told you they stink and shouldn't even have been there.

If the Dolphins win the Super Bowl, we will hear ==> Anybody can win it once every 50 years and they stink and won't be able to duplicate doing it next year.

Then next year they will all go to jail for "voting more than once" in the National Elections because they are in the habit of "blind, thoughtless, repetition". - LOL

I was torn. Ask anybody around here, I have been very critical of Tua in the past. But you don't realize how good Tua has been this year.

Has he won in big moments? No, he hasn't but look at what he has done.

He's gotten better every season, this season he took a huge step.

He's buffed up or gotten fat what ever camp your in but he's got a body that can handle the NFL now.

He's stayed healthy, which was my biggest concern.

He's accurate as anyone, guys like Brees, Brady and Manning (the goofy looking one) wernt great at running or creating stuff on broken plays, they didn't have huge arms, they were accurate, just like Tua.

You can't give up on him, even if he flatlines and never wins a big game, his accuracy alone dictates you ride it out with this guy.
