They need to keep moving the goalposts as Tua keeps proving them wrong.

The need to be right in their view that Tua sucks seems to trump all logic now and they grasp at anything rather than look at it logically and realise the Dolphins have a top 10 QB who keeps improving.

Nothing Tua does will ever be good enough for some.

They are secretly Alabama haters or just don't like someone with Samoan heritage.

Let this be a lesson to all the " 5th year option, let him play out the season and see what we have" folk.

Some of us tried to warn you

Good job Tua, you are going to get paid a lot more now then you would have 3-4 months ago

The way this team goes about the O line, I hope you don't give in buddy. Take every last penny you can.

You may not like my take. Thats fine. But like the O line, there was an obvious solution to this that the team chose not to take. Serves them right. They will either be signing Tua to a lot more then expected, or looking for a new QB soon

Yep. another brutal injury sustained from this poor interior line will cause the lightbulb to go off and recognize they need to protect the investment of QB. It will be too little too late. And for those that say his quick release helps, it does but not sustainable against quality teams and away from Hard Rock as has been shown over the last two years. Sure up the GD line Grier. That being said, I love what they are doing on D but the interior needs help, pronto

Burrow is an often injured QB
I agree with that as well, and it is a damn important point. However that is also one of my issues with Tua and part of the reason I am a such size queen when it comes to certain positions, metrics exist for reasons.

Tua has made progress, nobody can deny it, but enough progress to guarantee 100-200M? With his history and metrics? Oooof.

Lol, welp, there goes my coffee.

If the dolphins wanted to be dicks . They have control over him for 2024 ,2025 AND 2026 . A simple google search would tell you that

They would be doing him a favor if that’s the case. Two years of franchise tags would be brutal for the Dolphins, not Tua.

Tagging Tua would be cap suicide.

Justin Herbert has a passer rating of 84.7 with 273 yards and 1 touchdown in 1 game in the playoffs in his career. He is 0-1. 5 years/$262.5 million.
Trevor Lawrence has a passer rating of 72.1 with 505 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions in 2 games in the playoffs in his career. He is 1-1. 5 years/$275 million.

For the millionth time, the market is the market. Tua IS going to get paid. Everyone just needs to accept it and root like hell for him.

The Jalen Hurts deal also helps Tua, Philly fans are already worried that contract might be an albatross.

I don`t see how that`s doing him a favor , it`s screwing him out of money . i can see the brutal for the dolphins point . but then what`s more brutal for the dolphins tagging him or letting him go . Still have to pay someone else and you get what you pay for .

Exactly.

Either people are ignoring it or just haven't looked at it.

60% of our starting o line is an injury risk. 20% Ilis Eichenberg.

Based on recent history, there is a very realistic chance Miamis starting lineup by week 5 will be
Paul/Jones/Brewer/Eichenberg/ K. Smith.

Does anyone seriously have any confidence in that lineup? No amount of D lineman or DBS will fix that

This organization has di$%Ed Tua around for 4 years. McDaniel is the only one that seems to have any respect for Tua, in the decision making area.

I hope Tua breaks the bank and doesn't settle for any less. He and this organization deserves it IMO
