lol what do you mean where is the money coming from? He currently makes 23m and to get to the 36m I suggested is only a difference of 13m.

The salary cap will go up like another 30m next year. Other players contracts will be reworked. Not rocket science lol.

The question here isn't where is the money going to come from, it's weather Tua is worth 50m+ or not for 6 years, which the jury is still out on.
Was Lawrence worth $55 million?

Jury hasn't even been selected with him.

not sure you understand how math works....Since he's getting paid 23m currently, they only need to clear another 15-20m if they want to tag him.

But if they sign him for 55m+, then they'd have to clear an additional 30m. So franchising him makes way more sense.
lol

Yea you don't understand the cap or how contracts are structured.

This is Lawrence contract

Tua will not get $55 million this year.

I was tempted to side with you about some not understanding the cap, then you posted this silly statement clearly showing you don't either.

His projected tag number is not included in next year's contracts. You can't just subtract the two numbers.

Tua's franchise number would be a total increase over the projected number for next season.

There’s no “trick” being followed. There’s a reason the deal isn’t done yet. Obviously the structure is gonna matter over everything, but if you don’t think the AAV matters, you’re kidding yourself. How much percentage of the cap this contract takes with regards to Tua’s talent and ability matters.

It is a trick literally just explained it. Average salary means nothing unless it’s fully guaranteed.

Here’s another example. Jalen Hurts 51 “average” salary yet cap hits of 13,21,31,47… not a single year hits the “average” yearly salary.

Only one kidding yourself is you people following this dumb narrative that the uninformed media is using saying player “X” isn’t worth 55 million a year.

As for cap percentage neither of the contracts are over 14% the next 4 years.

Sure there’s contracts like Goff that are more true to nature however thinking it’ll be like that is pretty crazy. Brandon Shore is one of the best in the business and almost always gets team friendly deals whether on $ wise or structure wise.

Lawrence is worth this deal. Tua is also worth this deal. I don’t understand how a fanbase that watched 20 years of Jay Fiedler, Matt Moore, and Chad Henne could not understand the value of a franchise quarterback, but here we are.

It doesn’t matter if you think Trevor Lawrence is elite. It doesn’t matter if you think Tua is elite. You pay them and find out if they can win you a Super Bowl. Otherwise you get to enjoy a few decades of Sam Darnold, Zach Wilson, and the best 40-year old quarterback at the ayahuasca retreat, with or without an Achilles made of reheated spaghetti.
Amen brother! You get it!

If you think that the O line hasn't been addressed over the past 6-10 years, then you are a johnny come lately fan.

Not every draft pick or FA pick up works out. They have tried, and its getting better.

Do some research.
It has been addressed but not successfully. If you think the 30th ranked O line in 2023 is the cat's meow I can't argue with you. It needs to be addressed otherwise this oline is a flash in the pan and will continue to be exposed against quality teams and away from HR.

Which means what exactly? Does it mean he is accurate? Does it mean he has football smarts? Does it mean he can win games due to being taller, stronger?

Its buzz words, and thats all.
It means exactly what I said, Trevor is built like a stud, Tua isn't the prototype QB with arm strength and size. I think both are special, size doesn't mean anything which many women will argue but performance is what counts.

That playoff game was against Herbert, the same Herbert that so called fans would prefer over Tua.
End of conversation.
What conversation?
I feel what you considered a conversation ended before it began. - LOL
