Lawrence is worth this deal. Tua is also worth this deal. I don’t understand how a fanbase that watched 20 years of Jay Fiedler, Matt Moore, and Chad Henne could not understand the value of a franchise quarterback, but here we are.

It doesn’t matter if you think Trevor Lawrence is elite. It doesn’t matter if you think Tua is elite. You pay them and find out if they can win you a Super Bowl. Otherwise you get to enjoy a few decades of Sam Darnold, Zach Wilson, and the best 40-year old quarterback at the ayahuasca retreat, with or without an Achilles made of reheated spaghetti.

it is absolutely amazing to me how so many people can read a headline like this, fill in a load of gaps with assumption and then judge a totally different situation with absolutely no objective facts.

Somehow we just know that Tua would have signed for less before this deal got signed. Somehow we know he now won’t sign until he gets more. Somehow we can sit and judge the terrible job Grier has done with Tua’s contract this offseason.

It’s all absolute garbage. He’s ‘waited’ for this and the Goff deal? You think he’s been the blocker here not Tua’s agent? So much conjecture masquerading as fact out of desperation to pan Grier.

I mean it’s always the same so I’m not shocked. I guess it’s just human nature to some people. But I really do find it a bit pathetic. Some of you guys sound like kids shouting at their parents because someone else got a Christmas present you wanted.

Tua's going to get the same contract, right there with Goff. Nobody takes hometown discount like Brady with the exploding TV deals, streaming services and the cap going up 20M every year.

Every single GM and scout in the NFL would take him in their top 5 going forward in a QB draft

Who, Lawrence?

I wouldn’t take him over Mahomes, Allen, Tua, Herbert, Burrow, Stroud or either of the top 2 picks from this past draft, especially not Caleb Williams.

You can argue him against Hurts, Jackson, Love and Goff.

Personally I’d take Jordan Love over Lawrence.

Allen '21 23.5% of cap (182)
Watson '22 26% of cap (208)
Jackson '23 23% of cap (225)
Lawrence '24 21.5% of cap (255)

Still a bit off from record setting here as far as percentages go. People need to stop looking at the per year number in a bubble and understand it's a percentage value for a team. Rising tide.

That same Allen contract that was banana sandwich crazy years ago is now pennies, well would be if the Bills weren't such idiots.

Also notice, none of those players listed have won a SB? 🤔
