Technically he's already signed the option deal for 23 m this season? I mean surely it would be sweet to maintain his high spirits and guarantee a full contribution for the Tc. Although that would that be absolute necessary since he's already under contract? We'll see if Grier values this human component enough to sign him before the season begins. Financially it would be wise to keep him under the option and then pay him afterwards.Any way you add it up we got to pay him his stats don't lie even tho he has come up short on the big stage
So what is ultimately the greater risk? Not signing Tua at this time and potentially causing contention/ holding ... next possibly balling out and his asking price increases next off-season...
Or sign him to a massive contract and the injury history sadly resurfaces. Also potentially witnessing that he can't take the next step processing defenses beyond the first read, playing small and shrinking in big moments. Yikes... and then he would be consuming what, 20% of the entire cap with these limitations?
