Riddle me this? If that is true then...I believe the 'Tua top of the League' stats are misleading because of the pass oriented personel and strategy utilized by the Dolphins the past two seasons. For example some opponents were willing to give up yardage until the 20 yard line, at which point the defense may more easily protect against TD's, which resulted in lots of essentially meaningless passing and receiving stats for the Dolphins.
Unlike some fans and, or the media talking heads, the League's GM's know what's happening so I expect they don't give much weight to Tua's stats. My guess is that for the recent draft a team or two would have offered up their 3rd round pick for Tua. His propensity to suffer concussions and lack of mobility I believe are the reasons other teams, as well as the Dolphins, would be reluctant to sign him to a long term high dollar contract.
Why is Tua 9th in passing attempts and #1 in passing yards?
