Tua's Next. Be prepared.

I believe the 'Tua top of the League' stats are misleading because of the pass oriented personel and strategy utilized by the Dolphins the past two seasons. For example some opponents were willing to give up yardage until the 20 yard line, at which point the defense may more easily protect against TD's, which resulted in lots of essentially meaningless passing and receiving stats for the Dolphins.
Unlike some fans and, or the media talking heads, the League's GM's know what's happening so I expect they don't give much weight to Tua's stats. My guess is that for the recent draft a team or two would have offered up their 3rd round pick for Tua. His propensity to suffer concussions and lack of mobility I believe are the reasons other teams, as well as the Dolphins, would be reluctant to sign him to a long term high dollar contract.
Riddle me this? If that is true then...

Why is Tua 9th in passing attempts and #1 in passing yards?

The post you replied to answered your question.
No it did not.

You dont "believe" the stats because you felt we were just throwing the ball around like Sam Howell.

Admit it, you are just looking for reasons (and failing) not to like Tua.

Tell ya what. post some film to back up your opposing defenses philosophy.

That was 4 years ago and those players have lost a step.... To date Hill has not. I never said that Hopkins was not a great player.... (Ditto for Ridley.) But neither has ever been quite as good as Hill....

There is nothing wrong with any of the players per se listed on those teams... Ridley, Hopkins, Allen, Lockhart, Metcalf, Smith, Cook..etc.

Who here would take the top 2 receivers from another team not names San Fran and the RB1 over Hill, Waddle, and Mostert.

You all want to poke fun of my posts.

So step up... go on the record and tell me what other trio was better than Hill, Waddle, and Mostert last season? Step up and tell me what trio you think is more talented and you would rather have on the Dolphins

Because for the most part when posters are trying to talk about Ridley or Hopkins You are not comparing apples to apples.

But I applaud the effort.

Let's see you guys rank the top trios

WR1, WR2, RB1

Whadda ya got guys?

If anything this should be a fun exercise.
I really don`t get it bud you can say you like the guy all you want the truth is you hate him so much your trying to use his receivers being good as a bad thing against him . What`s the team suppose to do stop bringing in good talent ffs . He may have a top 3 receiver room or 2 or 1 but guess what no QB not named Tua is getting those numbers behind that line .

Im done with these guys bro.

This thread is a degenerate troll-fest.

You are dead wrong on this.

At Bama we saw Tua go through reads and consistently hit his third option

come on dude.

nope... The difference is that neither of the players you mentioned have ever quite matched Hill... Here or in KC... and the players you mentioned have lost a step and are no longer at the top of their games.

You are not even close to comparing apples to apples man

You keep jumping all over the place.

Let's see your list of top trios

Post it.

Literally the same **** you posted. You’re the only one going in circles when your own dumb logic is used against you. And yes both Ridley and Hopkins matched hill pre Miami days.

Why trio’s so you can script to fit an agenda? Fun fact but we 1,wr 2 and rb aren’t the only things that count. Funny you leave out tight end and oline both which are both very bottom of the league. How about overall offense support cast in which the eagles, lions, bengals. This year with the addition of the Texans and Bears there’s even more competition although adding Odell and Jonnu might put Miami in talks for best despite what should be a below average oline.

No

you take anything and everything as an assault on Tua.. Like he is your brother or something. Someone saying we should wait a year to sign him to a new contract and you freak out. Someone saying Tua in Miami is beneficial and Tua playing somewhere else would result in lesser stats... again you freak out.

To you there can be no analysis or critical review... Everything has to be all positives.

Dude, we are not cheerleaders. It is okay to look at positives and negatives of Tua... and his next contract.

O line does not impact us much because of the scheme... Tua does not take a beating because of the scheme. Our O line did exactly what it needed to do last year for us to have a top offense.

People dog on our O line... But we have one of the top running games in football. Tons of running room... Huge lanes.... Mostert and Achane gashed for most of last season.

It's not your money, why do you care what he pays?

You'd rather see Tua sit and the Fins tank for the next QB?
Of course it's not my money but I do have the team's best interest at heart and extending Tua at "market value" is not the solution imo.
I do want to see talent evenly distributed across the team.

& would be tragic if Tua sat for himself and the team... I also truly believe there won't be any tanking required for the next successful qb coming to us.
Where have you been since Marino retired? You make it sound so easy to find an NFL QB.
Trust... it's all unfolding.. the karmic balance is restored and the Miami dolphins will continue to thrive. Thankfully never again will we have to endure two decades of subpar qb play!
