For those who are concerned about his price and fit on another team. I would think that supports the argument that the only team that Tua would be worth $55 or so million a year is the Dolphins.

It's like Marvel setting up an entire universe of movies centered around Robert Downey Jr.s Iron Man character, then expecting the studio not to pay him for the Universe they created just for him. The universe isn't nearly as good without him and no other studio would pay him as much as Marvel would to play that character in a non-marvel movie.

Interesting perspective, I'll try to stay within the Marvel Universe in the response. If Tua were at the level of Iron Man (which I would consider one of the more powerful members of the Avengers) we would not have the questions about issuing a contract at Franchise level. The problem is he is basically Hawkeye or Black Widow.

Grier went and got a coach and players would could make Tua viable in the NFL, I can't fault Grier for doing so and doing pretty well.

Okay let's play...

Tua gets his 55-60 million per.

Hill retires at the end of his contract... Mostert goes away...

What then?

(Assuming that the draft picks do not all pan out.)

Like I asked before

How is the window anything more than this coming season.
Mostert is your cornerstone? They keep drafting fast RBs to replace him.

Mostert is currently a cornerstone because he just had maybe the best season by a Dolphin RB ever.

Yes they draft RB's in every draft... and usually they do not pan out. So no counting chickens before they hatch.

O line does not impact us much because of the scheme... Tua does not take a beating because of the scheme. Our O line did exactly what it needed to do last year for us to have a top offense.

People dog on our O line... But we have one of the top running games in football. Tons of running room... Huge lanes.... Mostert and Achane gashed for most of last season.

31st in pass blocking and it absolutely impacts us especially vs better teams that take away and adjust to scheme better to take away first read.

Offense and scheme were straight exposed the last month as oline injuries piled up so that’s just wrong. It was again absolutely exposed vs the chiefs who pressed the **** out of our midget receivers. Also a massive detriment in cold/rainy conditions as wideouts take longer to get open.

Run game was successful vs teams that were scared of the pass game. The teams that took away quick passes and adjusted to the scheme absolutely shut down our run game because it wasn’t overpowering teams it was taking them by surprise when it expected passes.

Offense absolutely flipped a switch as soon as Connor Williams went down so yes it had a massive impact on the offense and was the sole reason it collapsed….

Ya mean for a guy who has made the playoffs several times with bad coaching?

Not sure that’s relevant. They still haven’t asked him to play in an offense that doesn’t fit him. Nfl isn’t plug and play. Marino is the most talented passer to ever play however asking him to run Lamar Jackson’s offense and he probably isn’t as successful.

So you want to judge the run game based on the lack of success in a playoff game against the best team in the NFL ( Who had a top ranked defense.)
Also as stated we had a key injury to deal with.

LMAO

Over all for the season, The run game numbers were fantastic.

2308 yards... 5.1 yards per carry 27 touchdowns.

Those numbers speak for themselves.

More on how great our run game was last season.

6th in total yards
1st in yards per carry
1st in total touchdowns.

You said that the only reason the run game was successful was because other teams were scared of the pass(LMAO)

These numbers add up to a whole lot of fear.

Again, I’m not a fan and feel the media overhypes everything Cowboys, but.. the guy has been successful with several different OCs. He’s athletic, a good leader, and has a helluva arm. I don’t think he’s a top 5 guy, but he won’t lose games for you.

That’s great an all but that’s not what our system requires. It requires a quick release which he doesn’t have, timing/anticipation and accuracy. Accuracy is the only thing he possesses of those traits.

Dak is no better than current form Tua only he’s 4 years older and I’m not sure we’ve seen Tua’s best form either as he’s improved every year and with the weight loss we might see added mobility and extending plays which is something we were lacking but he still performs the basics of our offense at a much higher level then Dak. Not to mention Dak will 100% cost more than Tua.

Dak will cost 100% more than Tua.

So help me with the math on that.

Tua wants at least 55 million a year... (The market is the market.)

So Dak is going to cost 110 million per year? (You said 100% more)

ummmm Dude?

Do you not understand the English language?

I said will 100% cost more, meaning there is zero chance he cost less.

I never said he will cost 100% more as in a mathematical amount.

Great to see your reading comprehension is in line with your logic. Almost non existent.
