im reading your analysis of THIS team.

I emphasize that word because it’s important to separate the regimes when analyzing whats happening in the present and projection of the upcoming year.

You have a classic case of muddying up the past into the present, put the past failures of completely different regimes into the current.

When someone starts to do that it’s time to check out from a listener standpoint.

Here’s why.

Maturity and confident translates to better performance

Experience helps athletes perform better

Familiarity in a system helps an athlete perform better.

This narrative that Tua has been given great weapons with enough time to show his worth is BS.

This year for the first time he has a legitimate balance in his offensive weaponry.

He now has enough familiarity in the system. This is the year to judge his performance isolation, where football player should be judged..

If he leads the nfl in Passer rating and his offense is #1 in scoring and his defense sucks because the new coach weaver can’t call a game then all those consequences should not fall on Tua.

Also questions about McDaniel at this point as well that shouldnt fall on Tua

Now I have my own personal concerns for Tua so it’s not that he’s absolved from criticism hell no.

Two things for me that he needs to prove that he hasn’t so far.

Staying in great condition so his body does not become a liability on the field, which it did, even though most won’t acknowledge that fact or even want to talk about it.

Manage a game correctly involving better decision making and using his legs to help himself and the offense.

The window where the QB is affordable is almost closed and we have cap problems. As of right now this rebuild has been a failure. I was not expecting a SB immediately... This is year 5 for Tua... 4 years in and we are not even a team that can win a playoff game.

The way people here talk they act like Tua is a rookie and we need to be patient so he can show us what he brings to the table... So he can grow and improve. Well this is year 5 and Tua wants 55+ million and he really has not shown us much. I wish more people realised this.

He’s nailed it and it’s the reason I want him re-signed, he’s a great passer and a QB’s job is to pass the ball.

I do get a chuckle...

Here is my impression of this place. I am not a huge poster here... but based on the last couple of days.

One by one you take turns posting pictures of Tua.... Everyone unzips.. pulls out the hog, and bates.

Someone comes here and makes an argument that Tua is not the answer... And you collectively all lose your minds.

It is not me debating one person it is half of the board.

And in addition to that, it turns into this accusation fest. I have to be a Liar, an Auburn fan, I have to be a handful of other posters...(You cannot even agree on which... and that makes it hilarious.)

All because I did not unzip and start stroking with the rest of you.

Well..to be fair I think you knew what you were getting yourself into 😂

That being said. He's our QB. A pretty darn good one at that. Not perfect, has ways to improve..who doesn't?

Perhaps not good enough for you and others which is fine.

But seriously... whinging on a MD Fan page about how we need a different QB etc, when you know damn well, there isn't a single thing you or anyone here can do about it, is borderline insanity...ok perhaps not that far but 50 long posts arguing the same points does smack of desperation...pointless at that.

When Teddy or Brisket were filling in, we supported them. When they have on the uniform, we will support them even if we feel there are better options out there.

I love the fact you mentioned Teddy B...

See as much as I loved him in College and wanted him to be a great NFL.. QB... It is was not in the cards.

You mentioned that you guys supported him blind to the end when he was here... And that is part of my point. Even if the QB is NOT the answer..

He has the full support of everyone here no matter what.

Say otherwise and you get 25 guys attacking you... LOL
