Do you watch the games?
Yes, for the past two seasons I watched McD's Dolphins lose 3 of their last 5 games and 4 of their last 5 games, respectively.
And by the way, for the 2021 season Flores won 4 of his last 5 games.

Two posters.

One wants Tua gone and the other wants Tua and McDaniel gone.

I don't "want Tua and McDaniel gone".
I am fine with Tua playing out the 5th year option of his rookie contract and McDaniel coaching for a 3rd season; 2024 is a prove-it-year for both of them.

If they don't get a contract done and Tua begins a TC hold out this team be fed.

Which season did Flores have a playoff birth secured by Christamas Day?

Didn't Flores finish a season 8-1 last 9 games, yet still was out of the playoffs with 1-2 games to play?

1 coach was able to secure a playoff spot, the other couldn't.

McDaniel is superior in almost every way

Playoff birth secured by Christmas Day, enroute to losing a THREE GAME LEAD in 4 weeks for the division? That is a monumental collapse by any objective standard. They lost their way into the playoffs on the back of a great record against trash teams. Until his showing over the last 5 or 6 games of the season improves, and into the playoffs, he's not the guy. Being satisfied by making the playoffs is a barometer for failure, if you want to hoist the Lombardi. Almost half the league makes the playoffs every year...big deal.

His only out is that he's still new'ish at the job, and he's learning, so you could say he's getting to the post-season without being a seasoned HC, what does that mean for when he improves further and gets it? Legit, but how long does it take, when we're STILL seeing repeated mistakes he's been making since day 1? I'm not saying run the guy out of town, but he needs to show something that will give confidence he can take this thing all the way...he hasn't yet, IMHO...any evidence to the contrary? Don't give me padded records/stats from beating scrubs, doesn't wash. The Dolphins' roster alone is good for several wins against .500 and below teams. Should be good to be at least 50/50 against good teams too, but that hasn't materialized.

As much as I can't stand Flores for what he did toward the end, he got much more results out of his team, considering overall talent. This roster, last year and this, is pretty stacked. Far cry from the collection of rejects Flores had to work with earlier on, that he took to 5-11 when everybody prayed we wouldn't be winless. If Flores had this roster and a decent OC, sky woulda been the limit. I'm glad Flores is gone because of all the stuff we found out, but until McD shows something substantial above expectation, he's a tick below IMO. I really hope he figures some things out this year, its desperately needed.

Flores lost 7 in a row

Just figured it out, Flores has a account on phinsheaven to promote himself.

If you want to make more than Joe Burrow makes... Show me that you can beat him in January on the road in the playoffs... Then we can talk.
And if he never has to play Burrow on the road in January in the playoffs??? Maybe Burrow has to play on the road in the playoffs, or never makes the playoffs again 🤷‍♂️. How will you gauge Tua then?

The numbers don't lie:

2020 season Flores 10-6
2021 season Flores 9-8
2022 season McD 9-8
2023 season McD 11-6

So, not sure why there seems to be so much love for McDaniel and, or a belief that he has somehow proven himself to be more capable than Flores.
Did you watch Flores's offense?????

I agree, just making the playoffs is not success. You need to progress in the playoffs, which I believe McD will do....but if he doesn't, that is not good enough, I agree. The big difference I see between the two is Flores NEVER would have had this roster to flourish with, plain and simple. McD is attracting this talent to Miami, which I believe, in turn will make him successful. Hopefully very soon! Players did not want to go to Miami when Flores was here, which would have made it very difficult to field a potential SB roster.

Did you watch Flores's offense?????
Yes, I watch offense and defense. What matters is the scoreboard at the end of the game.
Remember that a pass happy offensive strategy is not new to college or pro football. It produces big yardage number stats for the QB and receivers , but not consistent winning of games.
I believe the most effective offensive game strategy is ball control with a near equal balance of running and pass plays, including runs by the QB.

LMAO...

Fine be that way.... You knew what I meant...

Sub in other names if you like.

Lamar Jackson
Mahomes
Burrow
Herbert
Watson
Allen
Russell Wilson

The AFC is absolutely stacked with talent at the QB position

So it does not have to be that he beats Burrow in a playoff game in January.... I used Burrow because they are about the same age and now Tua wants at least as much as what Burrow is making. The Burrow name and example is pretty valid though

To get to a superbowl Tua will have to beat at least 2 of these guys... Even if we have homefield advantage and the bye.

It all comes back to what Rick Flair said: "If you want to be the man, you need to beat the man."

Simple as that.

Tua thinks he is worth 55+ million... I say to him... Prove it. Go beat the man.
