Undervalued Players

95. Larrone Moore WR/KR Delaware State 6'0" 180lbs.
Moore impressed scouts at his ProDay turning in an performance that included a 4.38/40, 32in. vertical and a 10'4" broad jump. In 2010, Moore lead D-1 AA in return yds.(34.8) and is considered the "Fastest Man in the MEAC". He was names 2nd team All-MEAC as a return specialist and was a 3rd Team All-American by the Sports Network. Moore's lightning speed and elusiveness make him a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.

96. Mario Addison OLB(DE) Troy 6'3" 245lbs.
At his ProDay Addison ran 4.58/40 and had 17reps/225. He was 6th on the team in tackles, 2nd in sacks(9), and had 14 TFLs. He also had 3 FFs and a fumble recovery. Addison was elected to the 2nd team All-Sun Belt. He played DE in college, but projects to an OLB. He is raw, but has impressive pass rushing skills. Would fit nicely with Wake as bookends at OLB. Addison is a hustle player with a team first attitude. He knows how to use leverage on the edge. He broke his hand against UAB, but should be good to go by training camp(if there is one:D)

97. Marcus Crump DE/OLB St. Augustine 6'6" 240lbs.
A lanky high energy pass rusher that reminds me of a young Jason Taylor. Crump ended the 2009 season finishing secondin the CIAA in sacks (10) and 3rd in tackles for loss (15). The All-CIAA defensive end also ranked in the FCS in those respective categories—seventh in sacks and 25th in tackles for loss

98. Justin Boren OG Ohio State 6'3" 320lbs.
Scouting Report:
A natural bender for the position who sits into his stance well, keeps his base down off the ball and can quickly get into opposing linemen as an in-line guy. Does a nice job generating a real pop on contact, extending his arms, getting proper hand placement on contact and initially jolting defenders off the football. Is a better short-area athlete, has the balance and footwork to get around blocks and initially get out of his stance and seal on the play. However, isn't the greatest of athletes and loses his effectiveness when exposed to more space. Lacks ideal range on the move and/or on slide down blocks and can struggle to quickly reach a target off his frame.

Sets quickly in pass protection and does a nice job keeping his base down, extending his arms and creating a jolt with his punch on contact. Possesses good anchor strength and consistently is able to get his hands under the chest plate of defenders and initially hold the point of attack. However, isn't a real Velcro player, has a tendency to let go of his blocks and isn't the type of athlete who is real rangy in space. Displays the ability to quickly redirect in a phone booth and initially get into one-gapers off his frame, but lacks ideal fluidity in space.

Impression: He's a strong, powerful interior lineman who has the ability to anchor inside vs. the pass and move defenders off the line in the run. Isn't the greatest of athletes, but has enough lateral agility to hold up in tighter areas and be a proficient pass blocker.

99. Chris Neild NT West Virginia 6'2" 319lbs.
A 3yr. starter for the Mountaineers. In 2010, he recorded 35 tkls., four tkls. for loss, and 3 sks. on a squad that ranked 1st in the Big East and 3rd in the nation for tot. defense. During his career at WVU, he totaled 135 tkls., 11 tkls.for loss, and 6sks. He was elected to the 2010 All Big East 1st team. Neild is that protypical run stuffing man at the point of a 3-4 defense. He knows how to use leverage and he has active hands to keep from getting swallowed up by the interior OL. While Neild is not that wide bodied NT in the same vein as Vince Wilfork or Ted Washington, he is more comparable to small pluggers like Chris Hoke.
Neild is just starting to show up on most NFL draft boards. He is a late round selection at best right now, but there is plenty of room for him to move up once teams analyze a little more tape and see him without his pads on. If Neild can have some solid workouts between now and April, do not be surprised if he keeps sneaking up the draft boards and he ends up being taken in the fourth of fifth round.

100. Eugene Clifford S Tennessee State 6'2" 205lbs.
After starting for 3 season at TSU, he finished with 204 tkls. and 9ints. He has good quickness and accleration which makes him appear faster than his timed speed(4.71/40). He plays with mean streak and is solid in run support. He has good instincts and range, but that aggressive mean streak can cause him to overplay at times. He came out of HS as a 4 star recruit, but never lived up to his potential. He has major character concerns, he originally signed with OSU and tranfered to TSU - my guess it was because of bad behavior. He needs to play with a more consistent motor. If he can find dedictation and discipline, he certainly has the physical talent to succeed at the next level. He might be worth a late rd. flyer or as an UDFA.
03/06/11 - Clifford transferred to Tennessee State and says he has matured both on and off the field. "I was just there making stupid mistakes, doing stuff I wasn't suppose to be doing," Clifford said of his early troubles. "It had nothing to do with Ohio State, it was all me. Ohio State was a great scene for me. They gave me the best opportunity - I just didn't take full advantage of it. "I have great role models that talk to me. You can't keep on doing wrong - you have to eventually grow up and take responsibility for your actions. I feel like God has blessed me, and now I'm not going to jeopardize that for me or my family." In his three seasons at Tennessee State, Clifford totaled 204 tackles, nine interceptions, 26 passes defended, 35 pass breakups, four fumbles recovered and three forced fumbles. He was a national finalist for the Buck Buchanan award, given to the best defensive player in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision, and he was a member of the all-Ohio Valley team all three seasons. Clifford wasn't invited to the NFL's scouting combine but has been training for his pro day workout. He worked with Florida State's track coach for two weeks. "I'm in the best shape of my life," Clifford said. "I look in the mirror sometimes and can't believe I look like this." Projections have Clifford being selected in rounds 4-6 of April's draft, but a good pro day workout could raise his stock. - Nick Hurm, Cincinnati.com

Long shot but what the hell.

The buzz continues to build around Boise State backup quarterback Mike Coughlin, who wowed scouts Thursday. One anonymous former Bronco, who played with Coughlin at Boise State and is now on an NFL roster, was not surprised by the events. He said Coughlin always showed the physical skills in practice and in his opinion the program would have done just as well with Coughlin under center as it has done with Kellen Moore. The quarterback-needy Seattle Seahawks have already scheduled a workout with the former Boise State backup.

101. Mike Coughlin QB Boise State 6'4" 212lbs.
Coughlin stayed buried on the depth chart at BSU. In 4yrs. at BSU he had 25comp./47att. for 2TDs and 1int. As stated above scouts were impressed with his speed and velocity at the BSU Pro Day. You have to wonder if he is so good, why did he sit behind other players for 4yrs. But there is precedence for this, Matt Cassell experienced the same thing as he sat behind Lineart and was a little known prospect when the Patriots signed him.
Every once in a while a backup quarterback who rarely saw playing time on the college field impresses scouts during pro day with their physical skills. Matt Cassel, who was a career backup to Matt Leinart at USC, is the most prominent example. Today was another one of those situations.
While the Boise State offense revolves around junior quarterback Kellen Moore, it was Broncos backup Mike Coughlin who turned heads today. The senior, who threw just nine passes last season and 19 the prior year, wowed those in attendance with the ability to accurately make all the throws. His passes were delivered with speed and Coughlin rarely missed the mark. The 6-foot-4 passer has the physical skills to play at the next level and is receiving positive reviews from Boise State coach Chris Petersen. The limited film available on Coughlin will likely keep him out of the draft's seven rounds yet his performance today just about assures him an invitation to some team's camp, once they open up.

Her is an analysis from a Boise fan:
The lowdown on Mike Coughlin..............
I watched Spring ball quite a bit last year. Went to 3 open practices and then the Blue/Orange scrimmage- Coughlin and Joey Southwick split most of the reps @ QB. Kellen Moore was dealing w/ some back strain lifting weights
If you just look @ Mike Coughlin he looks like the prototype QB. 6'4...good/decent arm.
But when the bullets started flying in 11 on 11....His thought process really slows down.....as if he was unsure of what he was seeing down field and afraid of making a mistake. He threw quite a bit of check downs to the RBs....(almost too many IMO)
Mike Coughlin is also too mechanical IMO. I don't know if that was something the coaches were having him do.....over exaggerated throwing motion during practice. But if really didn't look very smooth.
If you think your gonna get the next Matt Cassell here......I don't think so
I just don't think he would have enough time to develope @ the next level because he already is so far behind in experience having to sit behind Kellen Moore for so long....And it would be a wasted draft pick.
Also, From what I remember during the practices was Southwick looked so much quicker than Mike Coughlin.
Southwick is the kid you need to keep an eye on. I was really impressed w/ him. Very accurate.

102. Marcus Gilbert OT Florida 6'6" 330lbs.
Gilbert came into the Florida program with as much hype as any 5-star recruit. After 4yrs. in the program, he leaves with the fans wanting more. While I do not want to give the impression that he wasn't productive, but if I remember correctly the accolades he received gave the impression he was going to be the next Lomas Brown(former Gator great, All-American, and 18yr. Pro-7Pro Bowls, 6 time All-Pro).
A two-year starter for the Gators --- Father is a recently retired Secret Service agent who helped protect the President of the United States of America --- Brother, David, plays football at Wisconsin --- Saw action in two games as a true freshman before suffering an elbow injury that required surgery and redshirting --- Attended prep powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) and was teammates with guys like Sam Young, Geno Atkins, Major Wright and Leonard Hankerson --- Could project to left or right tackle and has extensive experience on both sides --- Also played offensive guard early in college career --- Profiles as a starting-caliber talent and could man the blind-side in the NFL --- Possesses all of the physical tools that you look for and still has considerable upside.

103. Cortez Allen CB Citadel 6'2" 186lbs.
Allen was named All-Southern Conference 2nd team in 2010. He had 22tkls., 5 pass break-ups, and 2 int. last year. At 6'2" 186lbs., Allen runs a 4.51/40(combine) and has been clocked as low as 4.4. High character. He has the prototypical CB size and quick feet for today's NFL. He is a willing contributor in run defense. Initially, he may only contribute as a back-up, but given time may eventually win a starting role. He has long arms that he uses to his advantage funneling the WRs to the sideline and also allows him to keep the offensive player from cut blocking. He really excels on the corner blitzes. I read one publication that he compares favorably Dominique Rogers-Cromartie, although he was not as productive coming out of college.

Combine:

104. Pierre Allen DE/OLB Nebraska 6'4" 265lbs.
1st team All-Big 12. In 2010, he had 65tkls., 11tkls.for loss, and 3.5sks. Allen was a key member of a defensive squad that ranked 11th in the nation for total defense. He finished his career at UN with 174tkls., 35tkls. for loss, and 13.5sks.
Strengths
Tough and versatile. Really came on his senior season. Hard-working and relentless. Very good against the run. Strong and can hold the point, and sheds well. Honors his responsibilities and assignments. Accountable. Can play DE in a 4-3 and OLB in a 3-4. Power pass rusher who can collapse the pocket.
Weaknesses
Lacks quick-twitch explosion and elite athleticism. Maxed out physically. Lacks size for a base 4-3 DE, and not accustomed to LB responsibilities.
Projection
Tough defender should be a late-round pick. Should word his way onto a roster as a backup/special teamer.

105. Mario Fannin RB Auburn 5'10" 231lbs.
Strengths
Good, versatile athlete who can line up in a variety of positions. Runs with good power and balance. Bounces off would-be tacklers. Has enough lateral quickness and speed to bounce outside and turn the corner to get to the secondary on runs. Shows some ability as a receiver. Can win on wheel and seam routes.
Weaknesses
An athlete without a position. Runs too upright. Lacks the strength and blocking ability to consistently lock onto defenders. Is not elusive in the open field. More straight-line speed than a great athlete.
Projection
UDFA. Fannin will need to find a position to play at the next level. Despite his great combine numbers, he never was very productive at Auburn and never played up to his great combine numbers.

106. DeMarcus Love OT Arkansas 6'4" 315lbs.
Was named team captain in 2010 and started all 13 games. Elected to the All-SEC 1st team in 2010. Has played both OG and OT in college, but ended his career with 30 consecutive games at OT. With the Phins being a power run offense, Love should fit right in. He has great physical strength(especially in the upper body), size and speed for the position-will move defenders off the ball. Plays with a nasty streak essential for success at the position. Better at run blocking than pass protect. More of a RT than a LT because of foot quickness. Needs to get the 2nd level more consistently.
