UPDATE: Stadium proposal APPROVED/Ross will sign a 30 year lease with Miami-Dade

I like the all white vs. the crazy paint scheme that was in previous renderings.

So with the fins signing a lease to stay in Miami-Dade, does that preclude them from eventually building a new stadium closer to the city?

i would imagine any sort of major renovation won't be started until next offseason. Season/pre-season is approaching fast.

I still think that proposal looks like garbage. Couldn't they find a more aesthetically pleasing way to put a tarp over the stadium? It looks like someone jerry-rigged a tent over the stadium.

It's not really a lease as the Fins own the stadium.

It's like an 30 year agreeement for bonus payments linked to certain events held there.

I don't think he was interested in building a new stadium at all...This is it.

The stadium isn't the problem...It's the product on that field that blows.

Best they could do from an engineering standpoint...

New stadiums have its outer shell support the roof...You can't do that with this one.

My question is how will that hold up during a hurricane? From the looks of it it would be torn to shreds.

can you show me a tent that looks like that? i've never seen one.

I would think that more people would be willing to come to the games now that there is shade in the stands.

I'm sure that the architects will take the potential threat of hurricanes into consideration prior to renovations.
