want the scoop heading into camp...barry jacksons got it

For those that think Charles Clay doesn't drop passes...he dropped a few last season and reports like the one below this off season have been common.

H-back Charles Clay caught a few impressive passes for big yardage, but also dropped three balls….

### Not only was the entire practice up-tempo offensively, but the team portion began with Moore, Tannehill and Garrard also taking two plays in a frantic, no-huddle offense. Clay dropped one of Tanehill's passes in that sequence but looked very good otherwise.

Then there was a pass at the goal line. Moore made a bad pass. He put it behind and high to Marshall. But the receiver got two hands on it. That's typically gold for an elite receiver, right?
He dropped it. That makes four dropped balls in the end zone this year. And we're up to six drops that could've gone for touchdowns.

Dropping one or two is expected, though. Absence of proof is not proof of absence in this case. When people harp on all the drops from guys like BJ Cunningham and Mathews, they are commenting on they dropping nearly 1 out of 2 passes. Even the greatest WRs in the NFL drop passes. Hell, the average catch rate among the top 10 WRs in the NFL is around 68%.
