Watson was 4 settlements away from becoming a Dolphin. Interesting Quick read...

From what I understand, they did not interview any of the victims, so they may have done some research, but was it enough? And, were they turning over the right stones? It seems like the answer is, No. Also, never underestimate the power of wishful thinking. You can miss all kinds of obvious things when you want something bad enough.

Cleveland has one of the best rosters in the NFL. With Watson, SB aspirations are realistic. I hope Watson is suspended indefinitely - a minimum of 2 years - but it's not hard to see how Cleveland would be blinded by their desire to add Watson to a stacked roster.

That does not in any way excuse Cleveland, and I will forever hold Ross's continued (after the allegations) interest in Watson against him.
"Im saying the Fins because its kind of hard to really hone in on who was really pounding the table for this though in the end Ross is responsible. Allegedly, Ross wanted Watson to settle all the cases and include NDA's in all cases before committing to a bet. He wasnt betting on innocent Watson, but he was willing to bet on a guilty Watson with admission of guilt and probably some kind of "I made alot of mistakes in my life, I will work on myself to be a better man blah, blah, blah ... ".

There is contradictory information on this, Chris Grier's statement. There was interest and apparently it came from said "coach". If said "coach" is pounding the table for this POS, then the GM's job is to work out the deal and help to convince ownership to pony up the sheckles to make this garbage happy. Blaming Ross for wanting to make his team more competitive, seem's foolish. Isn't that what every fan want ownership to do? Maybe what Grier said is true, that the interest in POS went away when the allegations popped up? There may have even been a last minute push from said "coach" for POS player at the trade deadline, and maybe Ross issued a condition which he knew was unobtainable to preserve the dignity of his investment? I don't blame Ross for supporting his franchise's hierarchy and think he may have put an unobtainable condition as a requirement for a outrageously expensive trade both in Draft choices and $$$ for what he suspected was a regular POS. My 2 cents...

I said before the accusations that I didn’t want Watson. Dude quit on his team and sat out a year after just signing a contract extension because of “lack of respect”. **** that guy.

That being said, I can’t blame Watson since the NFL has fully rewarded his behavior considering the Texans still paid him for sitting out pouting last season, and he’ll get still almost all his money from the Browns if there’s any suspension this season. The happy endings keep coming for Watson…

No, Ross is the owner and should have lost interest once the allegations came to light - particularly with Watson's lack of remorse. I don't care what his coach wanted. The owner has the final say, and this is the exact situation where an owner should overrule whatever his coach or FO wants.

Ross was willing to take on Watson if the suspension wasn't too long and if public perception wasn't too bad. He didn't care about the victims. He didn't care about what it means to make a monster the face of your franchise. As long as he thought it would blow over, he was good with it. Disgusting.

he must have high volume and serious trajectory to get on her face, unless her face was close no?

something doesn't add up here on this one, if the dude starts spanking his monkey and the girl doesnt want any part of it, she would distance herself at first site of him tuggin on it.

How does it get on her face and chest unless she is close to him, which would go against getting away from a guy who starts jerking off..

I disagree, Ross wanted no part of POS QB, and put forth unattainable conditions. It still unproven where Ross really stood except for Grier saying, "when the allegations were revealed, our interest was gone". What the lying lawyer and traitorous coach said is BS. Ross has been silent. Creatures like Omar and Florio, are full of sh*t.

I think Cleveland is going to be watching a lot of Jacoby Brissett this season. They get exactly what they deserve for trading for this POS.
buddy of mine suggested Tedd Bridge could be in play here, he wants to start, he'd be a great calming influence right now in that locker room, hes much better than Brisset and we really would have some leverage in the negotiations.

Id let him go for a 2nd, just roll with Skylar.

I hope you're right.

It's not a matter of whether or not it was a good or bad decision. The narrative that this is somehow a surprise to Cleveland is rediculous. You don't guarantee 200 million or whatever to a player without doing extensive due diligence. The Browns know more than the media knows about this one way or another. Even if they have a clause where they can get out of this if necessary.
they probably thought there was nothing illegal so just went for it, not realizing a perv is still a perv

I had this guy a long time ago as something being off and that he was gonna find trouble, I labeled him party boy when lots of folks were kissin his butt.

I said its why he wanted to come to miami. partying and women..

IMO Flo was leaking info on this front Grier and Ross are tighter than twins giving freebies to the media which is why the media hate them so

I think Grier would only have wanted DW on the cheap and Houston used his faint interest to try to raise the price

We need a quality backup QB and Teddy fits that bill. The fixation and craving thirst for future draft picks by some FH contributors needs to be balanced by our actual player needs for this coming season. We upgraded the backup QB position by acquiring Teddy and at some point we might need him. Banking on a rookie like Skylar Thompson seems a big risk that we don't need to take.
