Week 4 Power Rankings

And if the Dolphins beat NE next week, it will be no different. The story won't be that Miami is 4-0,it will be "what's wrong with the Patriots?" The power rankings will still read "Miami hasn't beaten any team with a winning record."

So, who cares. Just win. That's all that matters.

And yes these don’t mean anything.

ESPN

Record: 3-0
Week 3 ranking: 16

The Dolphins average the third-lowest time of possession per game (26:46). That could be because their opponents convert on 80 percent of their third-down rushes, tied for the second-highest rate in the NFL. -- Koontz

Awe man I was really hoping they would have put us at 10 it would have been more ESPN-like.

USA Today

9. Dolphins (18): Thanks to weak schedule, on pace to finish 19-0 and forever erase mythic '72 Dolphins from record book as NFL's winningest undefeated team.

meanwhile the Titans just knocked off the Jaguars, who USA Today ranked #1 last week, and are first in the AFC South. who they conveniently have dropping one spot to 20 after beating the #1 team.

That's a little ridiculous. I don't think the Titans are good, but they're 2-1 and their only loss is to an undefeated team on the road.

Bleacher Report

It's time to start giving the Miami Dolphins their due—sort of.

  1. Yes, the Dolphins haven't played anyone yet. And it's been done with special teams scores, defensive touchdowns and trick plays—the Dolphins have thrown the kitchen sink at their opponents.

But 3-0 is 3-0...and after coming back to down the Raiders at home in Week 3, the Dolphins are in a position that has historically produced many more playoff trips than not.

Er what defensive touchdowns and it's been one trick play, God forbid we throw a flea flicker they'd be on meltdown. Bleacher report making stuff up as usual.

God y'all sound like some whiney bitches. Let the team earn respect with a whole season and maybe some playoff success before you feel so slighted. Jesus.

It's why Bleacher Report is terrible. They need to bleach all of their articles.

I understand but man they got us behind the browns who have won one game in what 3yrs? And they barely beat a team we beat. Where is the logic in that

theScore

8. Miami Dolphins (3-0)
Previous Rank: 16

The Dolphins are the most unassuming 3-0 team in the league, but they've been getting the job done in all three phases and are not to be slept on. - McClymont

We've said it here, they say it in the media. The true test for this team starts now. The 3 wins so far had to be done and the team showed grit doing so.

Nonetheless, we go into some tough road games against playoff caliber teams. This will show what the team is made of. Win 1 of the next 2 and they are for real, lose both and there will be some questions.
...Win both, and Finheaven will explode, and so call experts from ESPN, NFL Network, and USA Today will need to work extra hard to find an excuse why Miami Keeps winning.
