Marino is the greatest player in the franchise's history. Heck, he's arguably the greatest QB of all-time (I certainly feel that way).
I don't think ZT, JT, and Madison fall into the same category as Marino. We never lost 18 of 25 games, as we have with ZT, JT and Madison, over a two year period on Marino's watch. As good as ZT, JT and Madison have been, none of them will be inducted into the HOF, let alone be inducted on the first ballot like Marino was. None of them will go down in history as one of the greatest players ever at their position like Marino has. Furthermore, let's not forget that ZT, JT and Madison haven't led us to a division title in almost half a decade, and they haven't led us to a single AFC championship game, let alone a Super Bowl, in their entire tenure with the team. Heck, when's the last time one of them made a gamebreaking play in a must-win game?
Zach Thomas is no Dan Marino. Neither is Jason Taylor or Sam Madison.
