What if Fitz becomes our new Matt Moore?

He'll have exactly ten games to be the next Matt Moore. My guess is that Fitz remains here the rest of the season and then he finally retires. He won't be traded, he won't be back next year as the backup and he won't be back as any coach.
 
that's why Tua needs to start, he's rookie and he is going to have peaks and valleys but it's necessary for his development, Fitz knew once Tua was here that the dolphins were not going to let 30,0000 dollars ride the bench because of a 3-3 record, if he doesn't try to make a couple of stupid throws this team could be 5-1, he gave up a first down last week on 3rd down when he threw the ball in the endzone, Adam Shaheen was right in front of him for the necessary yardage, so to me he was unraveling.

I can see myself calling for Fitz first sign of trouble! I can see many of you as well. Many hear think college football stardom translates equally to NFL stardom. I am not sure why, but there is a reason these talented rookies sit on the sidelines and practice practice practice in their first year.

I hope this goes well, but, I can't help but think "Fins will Fins". We just haven't got any luck, EVER, especially at this position since Dan. Fitz was actually a breath of fresh air, for once. Will Tua take that fresh air and make it legendary? It's a lot to put on a kid. Many fans are asking for the sun, moon and the stars from him already. Many fans are also impatient.

It will be interesting to say the least!

First, the bad news. It is NOT impossible TT will be another in a long line of misses. Although some refuse to accept it, it could happen. Maybe he was given a start too early. Maybe some limitations due to his hip. Maybe 'endless' rookie mistakes. BUT, poor play is a possibility, though I doubt it. The good news. I expect good things to happen. Yeah, SOME rookie mistakes, but I expect the best QB Miami has had in a long time. AND RF is still on the team. If things don't work out, RF is capable of coming in and playing well.
That said, if those rookie mistakes cost a close game, I can see some fans wanting to go back to RF. I'm not going to enter the Matt Moore discussion except to say bringing a backup BACK TO a starting job is much different from bringing in a backup with little/no hx. Finally, fans can't ignore the instant gratification group. Iggy, Brandon Jones, Ogbah, . . . all those guys were initially labeled as 'trash' after one game. If they're consistent, I expect 'TT sucks' threads the day after the Rams game.
 
We all thought Fitz was taking the placeholder/mentor role, now after this it looks like we may have been wrong in our thinking and I wonder if he is really going to want to help Tua anymore . I guess we will find out soon enough.

RF is a classy guy. I'll be BITTERLY disappointed if he doesn't do everything he can to help TT improve.

Matt Moore came here when he was 27 and left when he was 33 and most importantly his arm was not holding on for dear life. Fitz is 38 and has one foot on the doorstep of retirement. The only thing I'm calling Fitz for is to wish him luck in whatever he does post football.
