What is your worst moment as a Dolphins fan?

I left out the Monday Night Miracle because I never had any faith in Fiedler, and sure enough, he didn't let me down, with back to back interceptions in overtime.

The monday nighter against the jets. Was watching with a bunch of the guys (all skins fans, live in northern va) and i was bragging and the jets make that come back.

OR

The 62-7 Jags loss being Dan's finale. very sad.

Bingo:boohoo: I was one of the ones that went to bed... I woke up the next morning and saw the score. I think I got a 67 on that test that I took that day. I couldn't focus on anything else but the fact that I was one of the fans that got burned by going to bed too early. Never again....

It was probably just as shocking to see the headlines when you knew it was safe to go to bed because Miami was going to win, and then wake up and get the shocker, just as it was to watch

Over on Jetsinsider, I was part of a thread discussing the Jets and the 1998 season that ended in such disappointment. We were discussing how the Jets were only 30 minutes away from beating Atlanta in the Super Bowl when the wheels came off in Denver. It has been 10 years since that happened and the sorrow is still there.

Things did not get much better in 1999 when once again Jet nation felt that this was the year, when snap, Vinny Testaverde's achilles heel snapped like a rubberband.

So tell me Dolphin fans is there one signature moment that you all speak of or are there many across the board.

What is the worst moment as a Dolphin's Fan? And you can't use this past season going 1-15, because from the get go you never reached a high that "this was it!"

62-7 will always be the lowest moment in Dolphins history.

Obviously all the games others have already mentioned.

- Monday Night Miracle collapse @ the Jets
- 1999 playof loss @ Jacksonville ending Marino's career
- 2002 season finale @ New England where we blew an 11 point lead in the final 4 minutes and losing the division and a playoff spot in the process
- 2001 playoff loss to Baltimore

So those are the one's already mentioned, let me add a couple more.

1.) Trading Chris Chambers- My favorite player ever, it was very difficult for me to see him go. I'm still not over it.

2.) The night I heard Ricky Williams was contemplating retirement. I remember the exact moment to this day. I was at my girlfriend's house when my friend called me with the words, "You may want to sit down." He then told me the ESPN story and I didn't believe him. Sure enough, I raced to a computer and saw it. :boohoo:

3.) 2002 when Morten Anderson hit a 50 yard field goal that scraped the cross bar on it's way through giving the Vikings the upset and being the game that ultimately cost us a playoff spot.

4.) 2000 playoff loss to the Raiders. Not much to say here, we got smoked because Lamar Smith was dead from his 40 carry performance vs. Indy the week before. (Which was one of the great moments in Dolphins history.)

5.) Opening day 2007. I took this loss hard. I thought we had a shot to be a good team and we had so many chances to win the game @ Washington.

Since I'm just 20, most of my memories are from this decade. At this point, the bad certainly outweighs the good.

Not that im arguing with you... but the defense should have never allowed that comeback either. I dont remember what defense we were playing in the 4th, but it must have been prevent.

Actually I changed my mind my worst moment as a dolphins was seeing us finish our last game at 1-15 last year. There is no excuse for us being that bad. There are reasons but teams with worse talent have won more games.

Not to mention the loss put the Jets in the playoffs

Just curoius because you dont mention it, did losing Chambers hurt you more than losing Zach?

Adding a couple more...

- Opening night 2006. We had HUGE expectations that year and losing to the Steelers and their backup QB was rough. THROW THE CHALLENGE FLAG, SABAN!
- Week 2 2006. Nearly shut out by the underdog Bills at home. Daunte's first two snaps were a sack and a ball slipping out of his hand on the back swing (or whatever you call it.)
- Goin for 2 vs. the Texans and calling a HB pass.
- Getting shutout this time in Buffalo after Joey's 0.0 rating game.

When we lost to the 49ers in the Superbowl. I was in grade school at the time and was pumped up. Alot of people were on the 49ers dynasty bandwagon at that time. What a matchup Montana vs. Marino. I was hoping the Dolphins could find a way to pull off a win but they couldn't generate much that day. Most might say why was that so bad we were in the Superbowl, let me tell ya a Superbowl loss feels like about 100 losses rolled into 1.

Yeah I remember after we lost thinking the Jets will never beat the Packers. Sure enough, Favre and the cheese heads got blown out. :shakeno:

Yes, by a long shot. I know it will get me flamed around here, but Chambers is my favorite football player ever. I love Zach and seeing him go is tough, but not as much as seeing Chambers go.
