What is your worst moment as a Dolphins fan?

1999 when we lost so badly to the Jags. I knew that was Marino's last chance to win the Super Bowl.

mine too. we got beat down. i remember being in a state of disbelief. wasnt it 42-7 at half? i held a grudge against coughlin and crew for a loooong time. i still hate the jags. fred taylor. mark brunell. all of them. they pounded us into the ground mercilessly. ( side note- i did however root for coughlins Giants in the superbowl, simply because **** new england )

im old enogh to remember my worst moment .......... the " epic " divisional game vs san diego . to my taste the best game ever in the history of the nfl ..... we lost in double overtime don strock vs dan fouts ...what a game .... san diego had a monster team ..chuck muncie , kellen winslow , chandler , fouts .. ... in fact winslow touched two times our winning field goal at the line which didnt reached the posts twice in the game ....they missed another one ... and their next attempt when the game was a marathon was good ,....then I kicked my black and white tv it fell to the floor from my bed a small explosion occurred ...... i cried like a baby ..... i was about 10 years old ....in fact it is an important moment in my life that i remember a lot .

I can remember watching the 1981 "epic" between the fins and the chargers. I was 13 years old, and to this day, that game is still one of the greatest games I have ever seen. everyone played all out and always remember kellen winslow helped off of the field, the hook and lateral play etc..

i also remember always cursing when Don Strock would come in, because it seemed like every time he game into the game, they won.

i also remember from those days Jimmy cefalo and a receiver with the last name "Rose" was it joe rose?

Hey Jets fan, I'm your age too. I was at a Jets/Dophins game in 1982 when Strock came of the bench and drove them down the field into field goal range. Uwe Von Schaman (ray finkle) hit the 47 yrd game winner as time expired to win 20-17. The Jets had a great team that year but lost 3 games to Miami including the mud bowl for the afc championship.

Over on Jetsinsider, I was part of a thread discussing the Jets and the 1998 season that ended in such disappointment. We were discussing how the Jets were only 30 minutes away from beating Atlanta in the Super Bowl when the wheels came off in Denver. It has been 10 years since that happened and the sorrow is still there.

Things did not get much better in 1999 when once again Jet nation felt that this was the year, when snap, Vinny Testaverde's achilles heel snapped like a rubberband.

So tell me Dolphin fans is there one signature moment that you all speak of or are there many across the board.

What is the worst moment as a Dolphin's Fan? And you can't use this past season going 1-15, because from the get go you never reached a high that "this was it!"
I don't understand your post, the Jets haven't been in the super bowl since 1969. I've read it numerous times and I don't get it. Can someone clue me in.

I was alot older than you and I cried like a baby too

I think I also turned my ankle on the hook-and-ladder play

My point is that in 1998, the Jets were on their way to the Superbowl when the wheels came off in Denver. THey were ahead 10-0 at halftime of the AFC Championship game. The second half was a disaster and the Jets lost. No doubt in my mind that they would have beaten the Falcons in the Super Bowl.

1999 was supposed to start another run but testaverde's achilles ruptured. Another disaster.

62-7 has to be the worst for me

Others include the Stoyanovich missing the field goal in the playoff game against San Diego, the Monday night massacre against the Jets and when achilles injury to Marino

I can't help but notice that a lot of you chose the Dolphins loss to Jacksonville in 1999 as worst moment. I don't blame you, but I offer a small piece of advice. Instead of remembering that game as Marino's last game, I choose to repress that memory and remember the playoff game the week before against the Seahawks as Marino's last game. In that game we got to see 4th quarter "Marino Magic" one last time.

1. 62-7
2. Monday night loss to the Jets in 2000
3. Stoyanovich's missed field goal against the Chargers in the '94 playoffs.

Watching Marino tear up his ankle from just outside the dogpound in Cleveland. Watching him lay there and knowing his season was over really hurt me. As a fourteen year old kid watching your hero down and out really hurt.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. The first Dolphin game I went to was the '81 playoff loss to the Chargers. I was sick for a week, but I was hooked so that wasn't so bad. Either of the two SB losses would have to be the worst for me.

Im only 16 but no doubt about it. Losing to the patriots at the end of the 2002 season and missing the playoffs after a year of where we looked like we could go all the way.

like i said earlier, that game between the chargers and dolphins is still one of the best games that i have ever seen! The two superbowls were interesting because they had a shot against the skins until Riggins ran roughshod but even then i thought they had no shot against the 49ers. also, I am old school, I root for the AFC team in the Superbowl even if it is the dolphins. However, this year I was behind the Giants. CANNOT root for the Pats.

You are wise beyond your years because that was mine as well. Miami has the leading rusher in the NFL and Wanny passes the ball 4 times on the Pats 10 yard line!!!!!!!!

That was what you were talking about, wasn't it?
