What was the most disapointing loss in Dolphin history?

Yes....

To me at least thats the most painful...It was Jan. of 1995 dude...

Though the Jan. '93 AFC championship game comes close...

Also the '90 divisional game as well...I wont even mention the opponent...

Yep, me as well. There is a CLASSIC photo of Brian Cox after the game as they're walking off the field he gets the field goal kicker by the neck and is right about to lift him off the floor. INCREDIBLE photo, I used to have that hung up in my cubicle for the longest time...

Every loss is dissappointing, but I'll say the most dissappoiting win was against the Bronco's in Ricky's first season. By the end of that game we had lost Jay Feebler (thumb), Chris Chambers (Concussion) and Oronde Gadsden (wrist). I feel that game cost us the Super Bowl because I truly felt we were the best team in the NFL that year. It was great how we won, but the ramifications of that game still have a profound effect on me to this day.

Either the blowout loss to Jax or the monday night meltdown to the Jets

1985 AFC Championship game by far for me. Tough to swallow. It's like we played thinking we had already won. Still bothers me.

:yeahthat: Could've won the SB by beating the Bears twice that year. Marino showed he had their number.

'85 AFC title game in the Orange Bowl against the Patriots....I cried like a baby after that one. It hurt more then the Super Bowl loss the year before (for me at least).

ON the bright side it did start me on a life long PASSIONATE hatred for all things Patriot.

Jets monday night footballl game and 65 point loss to jax:shakeno:

I wouldn't know about those other ones (except the pats 85 game), but the most dissapointing I can remember was the "Monday night Miracle". That was the game I started hating Wanny.

Speaking of that game...
As untalented as Fiedler was, he at least had heart. I had forgotten about him in that game, but he lead us back to win with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. Maybe he had a weak arm and big ears, so he was easy to blame and make fun of. But he was still a tough dude.

Yep that was my second yr supporting the Fins and i never realised at the time that was for me our best chance to get Dan his ring. The bears cudnt live with our offense. Boy do i hate those Pats.

Being that I'm "young" I only remember so many games. But the game that killed me was:

Miami at San Diego, AFC Divisional Playoff

Good ol' Pete Stoyanovich. FG would've taken us to the AFC Championship.

When was that? 90, 91? I was 11 or 12. I cried too

AMEN! That is the closest I've ever come to crying after a football game EVER!! Pit was ripe for the picking the next week!!

P--- me off for a long time.

Most of the painful losses are listed above, but to add to the list was the freaking snowplow game!

0-3 to the pats. Just because of a convict and a cheating coach.

The funny thing is, in the Jacksonville game, Fiedler did play....for Jacksonville, and through like four TDs in the game against us. Shredded our D. If you think about it, who was the D coordinator at the time? Dumbstedt!! He fell in love with big ears that day! He knew who he wanted as soon as he was made coach, and that doomed us for five years! So in a sense that game cost us 5 or 6 years of contending! Definitely a loss that hurt more than most for reasons outside of the score!!

Damn. Could've sworn it was still Brunell QBing. Thanks for the info, though ignorance is bliss.

Ah, the power of Google. Okay, so Fiedler was the backup on JAX. See, I just couldn't remember when Fiedler joined the team, and I probably stopped watching after the first half.
