Who here wants Forrest Lamp? I do!

Not a fan. We need quality and quantity this draft. Not just 1 or two players.

Ok. Alternative scenario.

We trade up to 12 to take Malik Hooker, sending Ajayi as comp and receiving Crowell.

Hope I am surprised this year but thinking we will be trading away draft picks.

Trade (DOWN) Prediction Thread!

Ok guys...we have spent so much time trying to identify who we take at pick #22...but what if we DON'T pick there??? Lets assume for this thread that we TRADE BACK.

First ---- WHICH TEAM do we trade with? Justify why you could see this team being a trade partner for us and moving up in the draft to our spot.

Second ---If you wanna get crazy with your prediction - predict the details - Who is that team targeting? If we trade back and remain in the 1st round - who are we targeting? What are the details of the trade? Is it just picks or are players involved?

Lets have fun with this. If we do trade down it would be cool to see who got the closest to predicting it!!!

PREDICT THE TRADE DOWN!!!

------------------------------------------------------------
My prediction:

Trade partner - Steelers.

The Steelers desperately need a LB. They have two 3rd round picks. If there is a LB at our pick and they think we/someone else might take him...maybe they exploit our need for more picks and move up to get him themselves? I could see them targetting Foster, Reddick, Davis, or Watt and having "their' guy could be worth the small sacrifice. Harrison is 39 ****ing years old and we took Timmons from them. They also need DL and TE. I could see them making this move for those reasons as well.

If we traded with them I could see us getting back our 3rd round pick we gave up last year (ideally their pick #94) and it would be sick to have (2) 3rd rounders so close together. 94 and 97! If we swap 1sts, pick up their 3rd then it would be within approx. 50 pts in draft trade calculator value. I'd take that trade straight up without anything else personally.

I would hope we pick up Watt or Willis if we move back to #30.

Although this isn't my preference, I have a feeling that the Dolphins are going to use 22 and 97 to move up for an edge rusher before the run starts. That position is going to dry up completely in the top 35-40, and Miami might be sitting at 22 with all of their targets gone.

I think they can get Barnett or Harris if they get up to 15-18. And I think that's what they are going to do.

They will then trade some combination of the fifth round picks they have and future draft choices to jump back into the third round.

Again.... Not my preference necessarily. Just a hunch. If their top guys are gone, then I am with you. I'd rather trade down and snag a Jordan Willis or T.J. Watt in the late first.

Strange feeling that we trade down anywhere between Houston at #25(either for a QB or TJ Watt strictly for PR, and to maintain their stronghold in that division), or trade out the 1st round completely with Cleveland as the trade partner.

Also, the Texans know that the titans are quickly ascending (them having 2 first rounders have Houston in panic mode.

Cleveland has IIRC 2-3 second rounders so the prospect of accumulating more draft picks is there.

Cleveland, for a QB...I love their spot at the top of the second and third.

I'd love to drop a couple spots, then again Down to Cleveland. Load up on defense.

Texans could trade up to take a QB
KC could trade up to take Lamp
Falcons rumor they want to move up but not sure how far up or for who
never know with Dallas but JJ likes to move
the browns at 33 is also possible

moving up is NOT an option for us. We're not one player away. I hope we learned that with the Carroo trade

Ozzy rules!!

Compensation most likely will be for a 3rd, 4th and a late rounder for a late 20's drop down. I'd do it in a heartbeat. Willis will still be there.

I've seen a lot of reports that say they expect him to go sometime in the 3rd round. I'd be doing a lot of due-diligence between day 1 and day 2 to find out if there's anything to this or not. I don't think he'll be there by the time our comp pick in the 3rd happens, so I'd discuss moving up in the 3rd or late 2nd to possibly get this guy. Last minute accusations paid off for us last year, it could be worth the gamble if we get a 1st round talent in the late 2nd or 3rd because of a potential false accusation.
