Shula
Lombardi
Walsh
Belichick

I dunno. To be honest guys like Lombardi and Walsh are just names to me. They retired before I was born and I only know then through second hand accounts. Similar story with Shula, but I know a hell of a lot more about him.

I imagine any list has to include Lombardi, Shula and Belichick


Who you prefer out of the likes of Walsh, Halas, Noll, Landry etc seems subjective.

Can't go wrong with Shula, Landry, Noll and Lombardi, but how do you leave off guys like Halas and Paul Brown. Everyone else is standing on the shoulders of giants, especially Brown.

And oh yeah: No cheaters allowed.

Knoll seems to always get left out, and Landry alot also, both great coaches on my list.

I think one’s age may play into the list of the best coaches, but it’s hard to just pick like 4.
