I will give props to the 1st one that goes to the Bills board and asks the question like how would you rather have Sam Madison or Nate Clements.. Then ask for unbiased opinions..
The unbiased answer would be Clements. The homer answer would be Madison.

I feel Nate Clements is probably the most underrated corner in the NFL.

But that doesn't mean I like you, bills fan. :fire:

j/k.

got to go with Teddy B.

Even though Zach totals a lot of tackles every year...he makes a lot of those at the 2nd layer...after the rb or wr or whoever gets to the 2nd level...he also gets dragged around and goes for a ride sometimes.

IMO Teddy is more of a playmaker...he comes up big in critical times...(unfortunatley a few times against the Fins).

Teddy B. also sheds blockers better than Z.T. He makes more plays behind the line of scrimmage or at the line than Z.T. does.

I think Z.T. is good player an I love that he's a Fin...but IMO I'd rather have Teddy B.

GO Fins!!!

I think that teddy bruschi is most succesfull for punching the ball out. For that he gets my vote. But for guys on my team i want ZT. As unbiased as i can be teddy always seems to play a little dirty to me.

If you were starting your own NFL team and you were the owner who would you pick?

Tedy Bruschi
Zach Thomas

and think of them in their prime, not current status and try to be unbiased....
i think zach is very good but i have to go with tedy....

it really depends on what you're trying to do. zach has been better tackling sideline to sideline over the course of his career. tedy has been better attacking through the line and in coverage as of late. you couldn't make this comparison 4 years ago. the 3-4 has revitalized his career, and i think saban's defense will respark zach's career in terms of making plays.

no hes more known for ints ...... like the one in the miami game, or the big one he had in the colts game last year opening the year. the colts had the ball down on the 2 yd line and he intercepted it. or when he made the int in the superbowl.. he had several others as well...

Zach Thomas without a doubt. Brusch is a really good player, but there is no doubt in my mind that Thomas could make the same plays that Bruschi has if he was playing in NE instead of Bruschi.

well said.

Also Justa:
Nate Clements in his prime or Sam Madison in his prime? come on. I would take Clements NOW, but in their prime Madison was a top 3 CB in the NFL.

i would say my options suck, and would sign the cheapest one, just like the 49ers.

Clements hasn't hit his peak yet and already has posted probowl nos.

Both cam into the league in 96' and Teddy has 11ints and Zack has 15. All Teddy's have been since Belichick arrived.

That pretty much seals it there. If your argument is about both in their primes and Tedy Bruschi's claim to fame is INTs than Zach has to be the pick. They came in the league at the same time and Zach has posted for INTs than Bruschi.

I think if you are talking about both players in their prime most NON PARTIAL (meaning no phin or pats fans) would take Zach 8 out of 10 times.
