Why is everyone so excited about Boston??

Every single other team in this league has passed on him for basically for free...Even the worst team in the NFL (49ers) passed on him. He just tore his patella tendon, which is even worse than an ACL or MCL. He has had 1 Pro Bowl season and will never be as good as he was then. He has also tested positive for steriods which means he has to be off of them now. They probably contributed to his Pro Bowl season. I'll be surprised if this guy is moderately helpful throughout the season. Everyone is acting like we just signed Randy Moss and that he is the missing link to our offensive woes. Until we get some new guys in here on the O-line, you can throw all the optimism out the window. It will take us at least 2 - 3 more years to become a playoff contender.
.......I think is pretty easy to understand why

Many, many teams passed over Moss on draft day. I guess there was no reason for Vikings fans to get exited since he obviously sucks.:shakeno: If I need to make it it plain and simple: He is a very talented receiver who had problems in the past. We just signed him for very cheap!! That's something to get exited about! You know, I'd rather read another brand new Ricky thread. Honest!

I couldn't leave it at that. Some people would just not get it.:D

Remember he came from San Diego having one of his bad seasons 70 catches lol.

People considered it a bad season because he gained weight and lost speed. He still got 70 catches im pretty sure. Alright the injury will slow him down and his character and muscle enhancing is a concern but he has had enough time to recover get healthy and he is a third reciever which means he has a lot less pressure and single coverage. I think this is a great move and we should of signed him to more years before he has a great season.

We are all saying the same things over and over again I know, but at 100 % Boston would be WAY better than anyone we have had in a long time. Another cliche': He is truly a threat to go for 6 points every time he gets his hands on the ball. Give the guy a chance.

Not every team. The Titans wanted him too

boston = huge upside wit nothing to lose (vet minimum), can't beat that with a donkey Kong!

Booker gets no respect for being our best receiver the last few games of the year last year.

Booker is the good hands posession WR, he is a #2 WR and will be.

Like a lot of people are saying, Boston is coming cheap and he has a huge upside. Considering who was out there for the same price, Boston was the best available. I also believe that he has something to prove after a couple of disappointing seasons. With three receiver sets, Chambers - Booker - Boston will make a dangerous trio. Add McMike and Brown, we will be hard to game plan against. Only problem is that we need our Oline to come together.

Chambers is our third best Wr, now. Booker & Boston are both better receivers, then Chambers. Boston would make it very hard on a nickel corner with his speed & large body to cover coming out of the slot, although he is a number one receiver. Chambers has not even come close to Bookers & Bostons yardage numbers in there better seasons, and booker played with the bears and boston with the cards & Chargers, not exactly light up the air teams.

It's all because of potential.
