Patterson may be worth restructuring but you have to count on him playing only 8 games max in which he may get you two int's. Grimes is another big risk from the injury standpoint and he's not worth franchise tag money. Carroll and Clemmons are just average players, they don't force fumbles -- Clemmons isn't exactly a hard hitting S but he does make tackles and Carroll seems to be hitting his stride so out of the 4 he's going to be the best signing IMO. So at best, we would be throwing a good deal of money to resign a secondary that is serviceable. It's pretty infuriating that in all Ireland's years here, we are not very solid at any area of the team. The real work will be getting these lame LBs to force some TO's and stop the run so we are not -2 in takeaways and continually digressing in the run D next year.
