This is a funny thread, who do we blast next, Taylor, Thomas? Sure Chambers has underachieved up to this point. He hasn't met his potential and he hasn't honed his skills, because why?
The quarterbacks have been a big reason but look at our coaching phlosophy up to this year. Under our previous coach the long pass was a not an option or at best was a last resort . He didn't believe in it and made that fact well known so I wonder why Chambers hasn't had a 1000 yard season? How quickly we forget, remember how frustraited Marino got because the previous coaches changed the schemes designed for his passing and didn't let him air it out even though we didn't have a consistant running game yet. Even Norv Turner voiced his dislike of the way his calls were changed on the sideline.
Chambers has been better than average receiver so far and I will refrain from being critical of him until I see how he does under a different system and a different coach. This preseason is too early to jump on him until the confidence is there and they have a chance to build a chemistry on offense.
