It would be really tough to believe they weren't instructed to say that, or at the very least covering their own asses if they said it. Martin is responsible for the firing of a very popular and respected trainer. And while the results might not have been there, the players liked Turner, even the player that was supposedly bullied by him.

At this point, Martin, even if he all the sudden got his head on straight, is barely a replacement level offensive lineman. As I've said before, if he's back with the team, I will be convinced that Ross is less interested in winning football games, as he is in being accepted in polite society.

The Dolphins decide who to hire or fire, not any player. The trainer and OL coach were fired for what they did.

Uhh, the point is that every piece of evidence shows that the players liked them, and didn't think they did anything wrong, including the other player that was supposedly harassed. If you don't think the players blame Martin for them getting fired, you're living in fantasy land.

Totally disagree. The problem was caused because he didn't speak up. This concept that snitching is a major locker room offense seems wrong. We need an environment where the players can come forward to discuss their problems. This notion that Turner lectured and cultivated the Judas code and Incognito enforced it, was a major part of the problem.

Yes your right the coward did not speak up and he also did not man up up either and tell the truth. The truth was the kid was thinking about committing suicide because he was not playing up to his expectations. Instead of walking away and dealing with his issue and dealing with it like a man he decided to blame others. Your welcome to your opinion but when the entire Dolphins team sided with Incog over Martin then I value their opinion over yours because they are living it man. You and I are just observers with our opinions about the how the world should be the NFL without ever being part of that system. Look Martin is going to pay for this dearly the rest of his life. The most important thing to a man is his family and friends and Martin will always carry that black cloud of suspicion of a person that will be hard for any of them to trust because of the label he put on himself as either a coward, liar and emotionally unstable person. His friends and family may feel sorry for him but the trust is gone.

This "Judas code" is an interesting point. Turner did after all help with getting Martin help for his depression. IMO Turner and O'Neal were canned because things were happening they either knew about and witnessed and didn't address the issue themselves, or as reported contributed to. They were coaches, not "one of the boys".

The talk of Martin saying something to anyone in that building is telling. He could talk about his mental problems but he couldn't defend himself. Which if he said to anyone would've likely been the end of it.

I don't think Richie enforced anything but his poor judgement and bad taste.

I don't think what happened in Miami caused Martin's issues, merely exacerbated it's previous condition.

His decline began away from the team and teammates.

Richie was the designated O-line team leader on the Leadership Council. He is quoted as saying that with Jake Long's departure to St Louis, he had to be the leader and I think that he enjoyed the responsibility. He is and always has been a bully. You really don't think that he enforced things? When Martin was asked why he didn't come forward, his immediate answer was no snitching. This had been clearly understood. And who was he most fearful of? The biggest bully of all. The multiple winner of the dirtiest player in the NFL, Richie Incognito.
There was also reference to physical abuse but this was not corroborated and so it didn't go any further in the report.

Can Dolphins do cool backflips in mid-air, and dive ever so gently back into clear water? that you'd probably harshly grade a 9.5, when its obviously a 10?

thay can?....well, this isn't a game show(Daniel Tosh voice)......In otherwords, no.

If Martin ever plays another down for the Dolphins I am done with this team.
Before any one wants to flame me I was a fan of this team when you were eating crayons .

I will bet a few of us are older than you!

The Phins might not have much of a choice. He is under contract with the Phins and cutting him could be viewed as retaliation by the team. A trade would be our best option, if you can find someone who wants him.

Nobody wants him He sucks as a player and is worse as a team mate .

FWIW, ON THE FIELD, he was better than Mckinnie, who many want to bring back. True story.

What........you must be kidding right..... Mckinnie was LIGHT years better than Martin. It was not even close.....maybe you didn't get a chance to see Martin play, here's the deal.....Martin is pure CRAP as an NFL Tackle (LT or RT) period, pure hot stinky garbage. It was sad to see that bum Martin play last year :-(

trade him to the Jets so the Dolphins players will be paid to "bully" him two Sundays a year, then let Pouncey play DE when we are up by 20 to give him a ol' fashion Deacon Jones style head slap.

No. But, it's not up to me.

I think, ultimately Martin has shown what he's all about to everyone else in the NFL.
He's weak. Now everyone knows. He's a punk that won't stand up for himself.

he quit on the team. I didn't condone it when Ricky did it, and i don't condone it now. A quitter is a quitter and it's best we cut our loses.
