Martin just isn't an NFL lineman.....not even taking into account his psychological and emotional issues. Just pass on him, and if we cut him, just say he wasn't any good so we don't get sued for discrimination. :3w:

Good luck with that when his Mommy is a prominent attorney with a background in labor law

No I would not welcome him back. He's a below average player and his return would cause more problems in the locker room. The Dolphins should just attempt to trade him to a team willing to take a chance. If you can get a conditional 7th round pick for him you do it. If not then work out a settlement and release him. Just get that headache away from the team.

No.

I understand he feels harassed, bullied etc.. He may have a legitimate complaint that he was indeed harassed and he probably was legitimately harassed as the behavior went beyond ribbing and into downright harassment territory from what we've seen put out there.

That being said...................

Either you go ALL-OUT in these types of situations and you make a complaint to Owner Steve Ross himself, Joe Philbin, Dawn Aponte, Jeff Ireland, Mike Dee, Tom Garfinkel freaking anyone and everyone with any kind of management powers...(BEFORE you take it to the Media and cause this mess) or you STFU and handle it yourself by either A. Taking it like you have up 'til now or B. You Fight Back. That's as plain as day as I can put it out there.

EDIT: I'd like to add that I really do feel sorry for him because I do think he has a lot of issues he needs to work out and what happened didn't help. The harassment was very real to him and he might have a case. However, the question is whether he should be brought back and I don't feel as if he acted appropriately in this circumstance and with this same HC, mostly same coaching staff and player base, it'd be a good idea as it could cause more problems and issues moving forward. On another team with a clean slate he may have a better chance at getting help and also not being messed around with (as much).

hmmm .... what would Parcells say ...

mental toughness is the #1 requirement for success .... without it you have nothing

if someone is willing to trade for Martin, take what you can get and run with it.

To answer your question Vaark....NO!!!!!!!!!!! Get him off the team ASAP!!!!!! With all that happened concerning him, i don't see the players trusting him. The best course of action imo, is to just cut slingload with him and both sides move on.

So far 94 % don't want him back. Really thought it would be higher :idk:

I would be OK with bringing Martin back IF, AND ONLY IF. our players were OK with it. I believe that more than half would but, hard to say how most now feel after the report and some thought on it.

In all due respect, Phans don't matter here, it's all on the players, and what they now feel towards Martin. IMO, it would be really tuff for him to come back here but, the players know better.

Oh yeah, the opinions of Ross and Philbin don't matter.

Jeebus, the guy was an absolute disaster on the field last year. You bring him back the rest of the team will basically have to be like Kramer with Lloyd Braun after he gets out of the mental institution.

Bottom line, if Martin is playing with the team next year, you will know once and for all that Ross has absolutely no interest in winning games.

I thought the players made their feeling know early on coming to Richie's defense despite the national call for his head.
Guess they would rather play with a bully than a quitter.

FWIW, ON THE FIELD, he was better than Mckinnie, who many want to bring back. True story.

Yeah, they did in the heat of the moment. Think any may have changed their minds with some time to reflect? I do.
