Don't count on it. ESPN loves Belichick and the Patriots.
Actually, I wouldn't completely agree with that. ESPN has been guilty of showing up late for the Patriots bandwagon in the past. New England's never been a fashionable pick because of their lack of star power. Not too mention Coach B's Dictator style press relations.
I've watched ESPN for many, many years. And, until their 3rd SB, ESPN always waited until the last minute to endorse New England.
And, furthermore, I just watched watched Chris and Tom recap the game on SportsCenter. I sensed a sigh of relief from both that Peyton was finally off the snide. You could almost tell they have been rooting for this moment for quite some time.
Just as we've always felt rubbed wrong by ESPN, it's always seemed that Peyton and the Colts gets a lot of air time from them. Now, their investment's paid off.
And suddenly, they don't have to talk about New England any more. You could almost tell that is a welcome change of pace!
