6th round pick for a guy who is a probowler type player.The contract was re-done to Dolphins advantage.The guy came in serious about playing but injured himself.Anybody who is not bias should acknowledge that trading away a sixth round pick for player of Boston caliber is a no brainer.What the hell do you lose?

Yet, you trade for a guy who was black-balled from about 31 teams in the league. SD couldn't give him away they could only get a 6th for him because the guy is a piece of sh^t as a person and nobody likes him.

I wouldn't say they've all been AWFUL....

Feeley trade - absolutely unforgiveable. Awful isn't nearly strong enough.

Ogunleye trade - not bad. Ogun didn't exactly light it up in Chicago, despite the massive contract he got, which goes to show that many of us were right about him.

Gordon trade - bad, but maybe not awful. Not yet, anyway. Gimme a year.

Carey trade - awful. Totally bamboozled out of a fourth rounder needlessly.

Boston trade - not bad. It was a gamble. We knew Boston would boom or bust. He did the latter. What did it cost us? A bust first rounder (that we passed on Drew Brees for, and I will never forgive Wannstedt for that, so help me God. He could pull me out of a burning building and my first words to him would still be "you passed on Brees because a nickel corner was more important to you than a starting QB, you dumb son of a b----!") and a 6th round pick.

I'd say Spielman grades out as a D- GM. Not quite an F. The Will Poole pick and his strong (though futile) advocacy for Anquan Boldin save his bacon, too.

How can you say Lamar Gordon is awful if the offensive line couldn't open a hole at tha time if their life depended on it.Lamar Gordon is very talanted player and he could surprise people this year if he remains helathy.

Only bad trade was acquiring Feeley for a 2nd round pick.

Oh please try and defend Spielman. You probably think Wannstedt was right with his logic that Miami was "close" to being a top-tier team as well!

We were 4-12!!!!!!!! Look at our team on paper BEFORE Ricky left. We still sucked.

This was a salary cap dump trade. It had NOTHING to do with Howard. We could easily play next year with Madison, Poole, and Edwards

If we take a RB at #2, we've gotten bad value for our first round pick, IMO.

Everybody says this, who would be good value. Getting a RB at #2 would fill a hole we need, and everybody is saying that R. Brown is one of the most talented and athletic guys in the draft. What the hell do you people want. Quit saying that a RB at #2 would be bad value the only other people that would be good value from what i assume you're saying would be A. Smith, B. Edwards, or M. Williams.

Do you really feel that picking R. Brown at #2 would absolutely kill our team if we pass up a QB who probably wouldnt be an impact until at least next season, or a WR that would only push two very talented, and capable WR down on the Depth Chart?

Agreed. I got trashed for complaining about it earlier. Rick may be a good talent evaluator, but his decision-making on giving away draft picks is poor.

The better teams rarely if ever trade away picks - unless they really think they can make a run at the SB - like New England and Corey Dillon - they knew they could make a run - they just won it!

Every trade Spielman made failed. This trade is too good on paper and in reality so we know he had nothing to do with it!

Just image if that god awful Lamar Gordon for a 3rd rounder didn't take place! We could be sitting real pretty right now! A 1st, a 2nd, and two 3rds!

Uh, actually the Dolphins got ripped off in the Chiefs trade if you really look at it. We traded a Pro Bowl corner for a 2nd and swap of 5ths whereas the Raiders get a higher 2nd and a 3rd for a corner that has thus far been a bust. I just don't understand how you can declare this trade "too good on paper."

We actually received a 2nd and a little less, we swapped our 5s meaning we actually went down in the fifth.

so technically we got a second, and our 5th dropped by 10-20 places...
