Let's say Landry walks...

At 6'1 215. Got that size Landry and Carroo got. High level comp but poor supporting cast. He was the team in Maryland.

Very good at picking soft spots in zones and beating press man.

He may not beat 2 deep off coverage beyond 20 yds but neither can Landry.

I won't post anything on Christian Kirk 'cause he's a sure 1st rounder but, here goes some Anthony Miller, second, maaaaybe 3rd round.

Not sure what I think of this. Doesn’t look very fast but gets over the top. Must be crafty

If juice walks I will look at these kids otherwise it’s kinda pointless

I like this

Think he’s gonna run low 4.5s

Not much separation but physical at the catch point and the top of the route

Have to consider couple things with Laundry- it's a weak overall FA class. It will be difficult to fill an additional hole created by the Laundry departure. Will be difficult enough repairing LB & oline through FA & Draft. Our QB is coming off a year and a half off, there is value in proving him a reliable, familiar WR.
Our cap sucks next year but we are in much better shape in 2019 when Kiko and Branch come off. The salary cap will continue to increase over next 5 years.
5/60 Mill - 36 Mill guaranteed.

Yep

There's three plays I think repressent who DJ Moore is in the Jr highlight video.

On one he breaks like 4 tackles on Deshon Elliott's Longhorn defense.

On another he beats that same defense 40 yds deep on a go route.

And on the last he scores a TD on a corner route on the same game.

That's DJ Moore.

I like him better AS LANDRY'S REPLACEMENT than Anthony Miller, cause Miller couldn't take the pounding, IMO.

His game translates into our slot seamlessly.

He's done it over and over. Being that 'extended running game'.

I’d have to see more full tapes not just highlights but Moore does look like the right fit for us as a slot

The one thing I don’t like is the lack of separation at the college level but I’d need to see more stems and how he comes out of his cuts

I don’t think he’s as polished as juice coming out either

I agree Miller doesn’t look like has the body for the contact our slot demands. Looks finesse

Miller's got some TY Hilton to him and a tremendous work ethic. Definitely not a Juice replacement IMO but he can work out of the slot in 3 wide sets.

If DJ Moore is there in the second we'll all forget about Landry in, like, about one game, I swear.

I've said it before, but he reminds me of a mix between G. Tate and S. Diggs, and he other than height and length, he gives you everything. He's also one of the youngest WR's in the draft - 2+ years younger than Ridley and Miller.

For anyone curious, go watch him ravage the Texas CB's.

I've tried very hard to not discuss this but now I feel I should. Letting Landry walk is a mistake. Yeah he's not a top5 WR but he's a damn good one. There is no guarantee his production can be replaced. He's a 2nd round pick that has the production of a 1st. Name me one WR who has the production he has and his team him walk after their rookie deal? As much as Tannchise hates it, Tannehill will be our starter next year... Why the **** would you let his favorite target leave? I don't care he's not Julio. I don't care he's not Brown. I care he is a proven, legit receiver. One of the best in the league. When was the last time We had a player that every fan of every team would love to have? We give that up and all we can do is hope we have someone that can be one to replace him. But hope isn't an ingredient for something concrete. I'm sick of falling back on hope.
........so your point is taken, letting Landry go is a mistake, even his critics wouldn't want to see him go because as you claim he is the damn good receiver, but as good as he is should the Phins essentially give him a blank check for his services? Landry allegedly wants 14.5mill a year, even for the Dolphins who tend to overspend on players, that figure is grossly inflated for a slot receiver, don't you think?

That long catch on the vid is on Holton Hill, none the less.

Is Landry that irreplaceable? I'm sure there are plenty of guys via draft or free agency that can catch the ball and run -5 yards to 10 yards.

IF HE LEAVES THEN WHO WILL DO THAT LITTLE POINTING A FINGER THING FOR THE FANS AFTER A 6 YARD GAIN?!

Completely agree with you.

Here is my opinion on what will happen:
——————
Gase: “I can’t get Landry to listen to one word I say, he knows about half of the playbook, and is completely out of control when provoked.”

(Tannenbaum pokes his head into the room)

Tannenbaum: “Hey, Adam. Want to sign Landry to a contract that will give him oodles of job security and even more of a ****sure attitude in what could be a hot-seat year for you?”

Gase stares at him.

Tannenbaum “Yep that’s what I thought. I’ll see what tight ends we can get with that money”

Yeah I agree. If he had the balls to pull that tantrum on the last game of his contract year imagine what he could do if we guaranteed him a boatload of money.

Let's be honest it's looking more and more likely every day that we're going to let Landry walk, I don't think it's ideal but it's just what I see coming. So what's our plan after that? Receiver suddenly becomes one of the biggest holes on our team. No opposing team is going to fear a receiving corp of Stills, Parker, and Grant. So what do we do? Are any of the top receivers going to be there with our pick at 11? What receivers are available in free agency/who do we sign? I'm not trying to make any sort of point I'm just honestly curious what you guys think. Personally I hope we do something, if we start the season with those three as our starters I think we're going to have a bad year on offense.

It is possible that Landry's departure could see us target a receiver in the draft. There is talent in this year's class, but I'd rather look on day two unless Nelson and Smith are gone, at that point we might have our choice of receivers. It would be nice if we could find a receiver like Cole that the Jags got undrafted, but those are few and far between.

Free agency could be a possibility. Could we take a risk on someone like Allen Robinson? Or look for a steady receiver to replace some of Landry's production and bet on Stills and Parker stepping up? I suspect it would be the latter.

Losing Landry will hurt, but the team can replace him. For instance we can make greater use of our running backs in the passing game - Drake can hit homeruns, perhaps a new back can do similar or Williams comeback and plays a role. Give Grant a bigger role. Utilise Parker and Stills. Find someone in the draft. Essentially spread the ball around rather than feed one player. Factor in a strong running game and the offense can cause problems next season without Landry.

Slower Stephon diggs makes sense. Believe diggs ran 4.39

I think James Washington is more golden Tate

The miller kid reminds me of the wr we took years ago I think he was from Washington state tore his acl and was basically done after. Finesse type.

Don’t love it for the slot
