All Time Favorite Dolphin (besides Marino)

Just wondering who is your favorite all time Dolphin player (excluding Dan the Man). I'd have to go with Troy Stratford or OJ McDuffie.

On defense I'd say AJ Duhe or Jake Scott

I love the CLUTCH offensive players, the guys that simply DELIVERED.

Crash Jensen, Tony Nathan, Nat Moore, Tony Paige, Keith Byars, OJ McDuffie.

These are the clutch guys, the ones that usually wouldn't let us down.

Ray Lucas.

But seriously, Zach has to be my favorite

Zach Thomas, Ricky(It was real nice to see a real running back in our backfield), Csonka, Troy Drayton, and the Mark Bro's.

Duper, Nat Moore, Mercury Morris on the O.
AJ Duhe, Zack, Offerdal on the D.

OFFERDAHL: Most fluid, natural LB i had pleasure to see play
TONY PAIGE: Plan B acquisition, called himself the ' total package' and it fitted him well.
KEITH JACKSON: Big play, clutch TE.
DWIGHT STEPHENSON: All pro Center.
HUGH GREEN: Not as good as Offerdahl imo, but damn close.
TROY VINCENT: Gutted when he went, his career in Philly spells why.

Honourable mentions to Crash Jensen, Zach, JT

favorite 3 on both sides of the ball

I am not sure why this is but my 3 favorite dolphins on offense is
#1 LARRY CSONKA :fire:
#2 MERCURY MORRIS:up:
#3 PAUL WARFIELD:cool:
on the deffense I would say
#1 SAM MADISION :cooldude: because he gives to the community and has been awesome.
#2 ZACH THOMAS :judge: because he plays with a lot of heart.
#3 TRACE ARMSTRONG :fire: because for the little time he was with us he always seemed to make plays.
I AM AMAZED AT HOW LITTLE OUR GUYS LIKE PAUL WARFIELD, MERCURY MORRIS, AND LARRY CSONKA GET LITTLE PUB . I USED TO WATCH THESE GUYS BACK WHEN I WAS YOUNG AND RESTLESS.

Andrea Franklin......(bowlingball)...Don nottingham.......offerdahl

No love for Gene Atikins, Sammie Smith, or Billy Milner...come on.

On a serious note, Marino ranks 1-5 for me :)

After that it HAS to be Zonk @ #2. Other players--JT, the Marks Bros., Keith Byars, and Louis Oliver come to mind.

The list!

AJ Duhe - LB (and why I love the 34 hybrid)
Don Strock - QB (will anyone ever forget the SD playoff game!!)
Dwight Stephenson - C (wow, strong and could run)
Keith Jackson - TE (hands and speed)
Jim Jensen QB//WR/ST(slow footed yet always made the play game after game)
Bob Baumhower NT (Always held the middle)
Andrea Franklin FB (Tackle me if you can!)
Richmond Webb OT (Never thought about the LT position while he played)

Sammie Smith, thought he never really was used right. Don't know why I liked him but I did.

Terry Kirby and OJ also.

I love how everyon etries to name the most obscure player they can. I have a hard time believing that Toimmy Vigarito or Norm Buliach or Reggie Roby is anyone's favorite player. But its cute anyway.

Some of the obscure players were great to root for. I look at Wes Welker as this generations Tommy Vigorito. Nothing is better than rooting for a guy who puts it all out on the field. They may not be the most talented pro athletes, but they have heart. Obviously we all recognize the Zonk and Marino but the consumate role player will always have a special place in Dolphin history.
