BS. He proved it last season. You like to knock Brown because he "hasn't carried the load". Take a look at Jones' carries the last three years.
The last 2 years he has 314 and 296 while Ronnie's career high is 241. Ronnie has barely a thousand yard season while Jones has been over 1200 yds the past 2 years- that's a big difference.
Every year, there was another back or two sharing the load
yet he still got mroe than Ronnie ever has and again did you notice how when Ronnie's carries go up his YPC has gone down? W/ Jones as his carries go up his YPC goes up.
In 2005 it was Benson and and Peterson (143 carries combined), In 2006 it was Benson (157 carries). You were quick to knock Brown in 2005 when Williams had 168 carries. Where is the concern over Jones being able to "carry the load".
Jones has carried the load, he has been the primary back and they have given some carries to other backs. it wasn't a split situation like '05 w/ Miami. Ronnie only had 39 more carries in '05, last year Jones had 139 more carries than benson- heck that 139 differnece is almost as many carries as Ricky had in 2005.
Do you read the crap you write? DID YOU NOTICE THAT JONES' YPC DROPPED BY .2 YPC LAST YEAR? You're hillarious.
Jones carries went down, Ronnie's went up.
No. I prefer to look at his whole body of work. And that shows me a back that averages 3.9 YPC.
OK then. You seeem to think Jones doesn't carry the load then we can compare the 2 backs in the last 2 years:
Jones: 610 rushes, 2545 yds, 4.2 YPC, 15 TDs, 16 rushes of 20+ yds, 122 1st downs
Brown: 448 rushes, 1915 yds, 4.3 YPC, 9 TDs, 11 rushes of 20+ yds, 90 1st downs
Which back has been better? the only catageory Ronnie leads in is YPC where he has a .1 lead on Jones.
Jones is a decent back. He is not the same caliber as Brown.
yep, every team would rather have the back that produces less yards, less TDs, less big runs, less 1st downs. How could I possibly think Thomas Jones is in the same class as the great Ronnie Brown.
