Bucs fans: Bryant will be in Miami next year

I believe Parcells traded him to Cleveland after that little dust up....

Bryant should've been a Dolphin the first time he hit free agency IMO.....
 
I probably wouldn't consider him to be a true #1, but a definite #2, and he would be an upgrade over everything we have now. I think Parcell's has always liked him so it could be a possibility. If his knee is healthy I would have no problem with this FA signing next year. If we could get him and Chris Henry from the Bengals, who will also be a FA, I would be very happy with the upgrades at WR.
 
He won't sign because of parcells and he'll have plenty of other options

Parcells wanted a cooling-off period to remove emotion before deciding about Bryant. It isn't a sign Big Bill has gone Dr. Phil-soft in his advancing age. But he didn't get to the doorstep of the Pro Football Hall of Fame without knowing when to prod and when to back off.
Parcells has a lot more than money invested in a talented playmaker. There's all that coaching and sweat equity. Bryant likely gets one more chance to redeem himself come training camp. Remember, Parcells coached Lawrence Taylor, who got more second chances than Darryl Strawberry and Robert Downey Jr. combined.

This escapade went on in June and the Cowboys went on to trade Bryant to the Browns in October of that same year. I stated before that I thought Parcells and Bryant got along but after reading this I just don't know if we will bring him in. Looks like a story we will definitely be seeing again in the offseason.
 
No way he was drafted by Parcells and he does not like Parcells ... So it will not happen.
 
You know I really hope we don't go searching through other teams trash to fix our receiver problem! We went through Oakland's trash for a safety, and Arizona's trash for a corner, and how is that working out! Enough of this diamond in the rough, go out and get a REAL NUMBER 1!
 
He was also troublemaker with Mike Nolan when he was in San Francisco too. He is such a problem he had to sign a vet minimum contract for one year with the Bucs to get a chance again. He had a great year and was franchised last spring, but unless he has grown up I don't see it happening.
 
I'd say go for it. He's better than any of the garbage we have at WR right now.
 
All of the impact WR options for this off season are likely to be tainted. From Brandon Marshall, Anquan Boldin, Antonio Bryant, Chris Henry and Roy E. Williams, right down to the draft with Dez Bryant and Mike Williams. These guys have all managed to piss off and alienate somebody.

But I mean, at some point you've got to decide. We have a locker room full of folks that work 25 hours a day, sing kumbaya together and lose ball games. Do you leverage that hard working locker room with all of those veterans keeping young people in line, in order to acquire talent that helps us win on Sundays? Or do you keep a pristine locker room full of guys that go 8-8?
 
no thank you, we need a proven #1 WRs, or try to get lucky in the draft with a WR, the way things are looking Dez Bryant doest seem unreachable right now.
 
he is by far better then what we have now and when he is healthy he is one hell of a WR but unless BP leaves this offseason i dont think he is going to sign Bryant

That is true. Bryant threw his jersey in Parcells face. However, it is irrelevent because Parcells and Bryant made up and text each other all the time. I recall reading about it in the offseason.

I'd love to have Bryant. He'd easily be the best WR on this team.
 
are u kidding? id be thrilled with him as a number 2.. to a guy like dez bryant or benn or lafell or williams or someone in the 1st or 2nd from next years draft.. there are others on the list id want ahead of him but u dont always get what u want.... bryant and bryant. guna get pretty repetitive with announcers when hennes throwin those TDs!

i want dez bryant in the 1st no matter what.

Yeah I very specifically remember reading this, too. I believe that during the season last year when Bryant was excelling, Parcells was sending him congratulatory texts.
