Another interesting thing about Shamarko Thomas was that he never intercepted a pass until this year. I watched him get his first career interception matched up in man coverage against Robert Woods vs. Southern Cal... he played textbook technique covering Woods like a blanket and picked off Matt Barkley. The way he was used didn't lend itself to him picking off many passes. The Big-East is a conference where defenses had to stop RB's and the zone read first and foremost, and Syracuse was required to have their best athlete and tackler in position to do it.

My guy Leon McFadden impressed today along with Jamar Taylor. Mathieu KILLED it, perfect day for him. Hate the fact that they kept cutting off the drills and focusing on a player for minutes at a time.
