Cutler agrees to sign for fins

This has nothing to do with Landry he will get franchised if worse came to worse this deal has nothing to do with the Cap next year

The money used for Jay is rollover money that would of aided in whatever we do in 2018.

But I fully understand Miami liking what they have on this team and wanting to do whatever they can do to give themselves the best opportunity to not have a throw away season.

arent we suppose to have like 70 mil in cap next offseason?

The team told him to go out and prove it (again) this year. Production wise it has everything to do with his return.

As Jim Mandich used to say. At this point, "this ain't no beauty contest". Good QBs don't grow on trees.
It's never pleasant when you lose your start g QB. Most backup QBs are backups for a reason. They are stop gap types. The phins don't have a young prospect on the roster being groomed to be an eventual starter.
Cutler has started for many years and knows the offense. He's the best you can ask for at this point.
He can run the offense and make all the throws. Gase has to settle him down and reduce untimely turnovers.

Using money this year and rolling it over on a one-year contract is basically the same thing. The money is there again

Regardless of where you stand on Cutler, can't help but feel like this the the first step into the Tannehill Farewell Tour.

Not at all. I truly expect Tannehill to spend this season getting 100% healthy and that Miami sees him as their long term QB starting in 2018. Gase really likes Tannehill and believes in him. The only way Tannehill isn't Miami's long term answer is if his injury ends his career.

old broke-*** Cutler for $10m??!! that officially put us on QB watch next draft (and OL).. ain't bringing RT back for big $$$ with no legs; he was marginal with legs.
What big $$$ is that?

Panic situations like this are a result of having a one track minded HC.

It is also very possible that Jay Cutler coming out of retirement and playing for a coach he really likes could have his best season in Miami.[/QUOTE
This is a terrible move strictly for cap reasons. $10 million not being rolled over to next year is huge and this possibly costs us Jarvis or another very good player. Horrific.
Cutler will win 10 or 11 games for the fhins, with the weapons we have wait and see !
