Lazors o was heavy predetermined tbrows when he was here. And zero qb freedom.

Looks like he learned his lesson on the latter since he got canned cause I didn’t get the sense the qb was neutered watching that cinci game the other night. Must have been the one thing he got from chip kelly that he screwed us with and then tabled

I can feel your disdain for him, he probably canned it when he got to cincy.

I hate Philbin more than Lazor.

Any offense that neuters the qb that can make proper pre to post snap reads and set up protections is trash.

    That o was trash

I mean when it wasn’t pre determined tbrows as in normal drops it was pre snap and progression based and you neuter the qb? As soon as you propose that to me in a coordinator job interview I’d tell you to hit the door and don’t let it hit you in tbe *** on the way out.

It’s clown shoes. Incompetent as they come

The fact that someone actually signed off on that is mind boggling in a pro setting

I wouldn't be surprised if the Jags make a run at Smith next year, IDk if Allen Robinson would come back tho.

PFF is stealing my analysis lol

    https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-is-dez-bryant-still-a-no-1-wr

Even more telling for Bryant is when you breakdown his average rate of catchable pass targets seen. The Cowboys lost Tony Romo to injury in Week 2 of the 2015 season and things have really never been the same for Bryant since. Although you will never hear him complain or utter a disparaging word about his current quarterback Dak Prescott, Bryant must be aware that Romo’s departure has meant less opportunities for him in the passing game.

Between 2012-2014, 70.0 percent of the pass attempts thrown Bryant’s way were deemed catchable (three-year NFL average: 67.4 percent). Bryant took full advantage when given the chance, scoring 41 touchdowns to go along with 2.25 yards per route run which was seventh-most out of 63 receivers with at least 1000 snaps in route during that time. Since then however, the percentage of catchable targets seen by Dez has plummeted, creating a domino effect that permeates across the box score. Just 155-of-260 pass attempts aimed at Bryant since the beginning of 2015 have been catchable targets. His 59.6 percent catchable target rate over the last three years ranks 50th out of 51 WRs with min 200 targets during that span of time.

When grading Parker ppl have to realize that Wrs don't throw the ball to themselves, Qb play matters.

So what’s the rooting interest for today for a draft pick?

I want to get into Bradley chubb or quenton Nelson territory.

Assuming that they aren’t gonna be moving tj McDonald to lb

When you play as much single deep safety with tj McDonald as we have it makes it seem the odds of a move to lb are very little.

Not to mention no dime lb run to date either.

But if we did move him I’d want a safety that can play man in the slot and handle all deep single high with range and ball skills

    Ideal world

Just doesn’t seem however a ask of our scheme

If we still had Nate Allen, we might see some of that. I think the coaches realize how bad the other S spot might be if TJ were to come up

Desmond King just played a game where he had a higher % of snaps than Phillip Rivers, thats how much they were in dime defense; Gus Bradley understands the league has changed and stopping the pass is much more important. Unfortunately I don't see any safeties fitting that role other than Fitzpatrick in this years draft and he's going top 8 and probably will be a corner, Unless we draft a LB in 1st round, I don't think we will meet that 3 down need in this draft class, but I haven't gotten a good look at them yet.

If Chubb is of the board and were top 6 I wouldn't mind us trading down, RB,DEs and OL we can get difference makers in the Mid rounds,Chubb is the only player I'd hold top 6 for.

Nelson has the best tape of any OG I've seen but Zach Martin and Brandon Scherff were OTs in college so IDK, I want to see his testing before I say top 20. What do u think ?

Desmond king was a good player. 5th round was a joke there. All about top end speed. Shouldn’t have gotten out of day 2

Tackles like a safety excellent awareness and ball skills

Miami just doesn’t use hybrid types

I think your qb leverage at 6 is gone unless someone’s coming up for josh allen. If darnold doesn’t come out someone will get pushed up i don’t think 6 gives you draft leverage with mayfield so if it’s me and chubbs there I’d take him to pair with Harris long term.

You finish top 6 you want top positional value outside of qb it doesn’t get more value than de/edge

As for Nelson I haven’t seen his tape I’ve seen a lot of top 5 grades however and I just know that miamis top need on the oline is right guard. To add a zach Martin or scherf level guy I’d be all in for assuming the grade is there.

But Miami may fill that need in free agency

If Nelson’s got the same technique as zach Martin coming out and the nasty disposition and athlete of Brandon scherf than I think you run that card up. But not over the 3 down de with outside shoulder win and plus run defense

When Washington who has a damn good o line to begin with when all horses are on deck finishes teams they don’t do it with cousins arm they do it running behind scherfs backside

If we finish top 6 possibly even top 8 then I’m not offering William Hayes a one year contract pre draft.

I’m going into the draft with wake, Harris, branch and adding a piece

Taking chubb if he gets to me

Mayfield is picking up a lot steam.

If he comes in at 6'1 1/2 I could see it. I don't like the Russell Wilson comparisons tho, good arm but not Wilsons type of arm and he won't touch the 4.55 that Wilson ran; Wilson also ran pro type system in college.

I agree especially if Chubb is available. I saw more tape of Barkley, he looks much faster than I thought, he added a lot more speed compared to last season.

I agree it’s a little lazy. Not as elusive as Wilson probably gonna run 4.65 but the maintain eye level thing is legit. And like you said the pro style thing matters from protections and blitz id etc.

I’m gonna say top 15 unless he comes in under 6 foot. 6 foot 2 top 5 would be in play.

But nothing about that looks 6 foot 2. I think he’s gonna be 6 foot and a 1/4 run low to mid 4.6s

He’s mastered that Oklahoma o which is partially why he knows where to go with the football so much. If you draft him limit the pocket progression reads run a similar style that fits his strengths while you develop the other stuff

Yea he doesn't look close to 6'2 but I'd say he's slower than 4.65 thats elite for a QB. he more quick than fast.

Well he doesn’t want to run 4.7 at that size. Be in the 4.6s be plus 6 foot even

Mid 4.7s and people start worrying about can he turn the corner in the zone read etc and the size for contact

Has a good lower half build.

I agree thats what he needs too run but Deshaun Watson, Mariota and Tanny are 4.6s, I'm thinking 4.7,4.8 but he does have good mobility.

Is there any chance that Cleveland passes on a QB again if they go beat the Packers and go on a run, they went from arguably the worst wr core to top 15 with Gordon and Coleman.

They tried to trade for a qb at the deadline. Clear indicator they don’t view kizer as the guy.

I can’t see em passing up a qb again with the top pick. Get the qb get another piece with the other top 10 pick

Unless they get the qb in free agency which I see as unlikely anyone would choose to go there of the top free agent options

Unless he’s viewed as a pocket progression qb 4.8 at that size is gonna hurt

Thats before Gordon and Coleman came back, Kizer was easily the worst QB in the league at that time. Kiser has flashed a lot since then. He's still inaccurate though Coleman just made a crazy catch.

I see you guys saying 6th overall? We won't be picking anywhere near that. I highly doubt top 10 even. Right now we are 13th and I expect 1 more win so that might keep us near 13th

Watching the Rams and Eagles game and specifically the Qbs for each team. While both are certainly special it's also very obvious they get time in the pocket to do their thing.
