More importantly route anticipation is not as critical, what would be a late throw is now on time with a canon arm.

I don't agree with the Wentz comp though, His feet are nowhere near as good in terms of drop backs and maneuvering the pocket.

He could show up at the senior bowl and spin it and have a similar rise to Wentz though.

I watched Wentz spin it senior bowl week and was like yeah that’s going very high.

Wentz has done a good job to clean up his underneath accuracy in one offseason. Probably the biggest difference I see in him in year two

Yea his throwing motion degraded midway thru the season, its much more consistent now, he still misses some throws every now and then.

I disagree with Millers take, I like Josen more than Goff.
The top three quarterbacks are still ranked inside my top 10 players, but so far none has elevated his game to the level of an Andrew Luck-type prospect. My early grades on the top three (Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Josh Allen) fall behind the grades I gave Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Jared Goff and Carson Wentz in previous drafts. The depth among the top seven or eight quarterbacks is intriguing, but there is much to be desired after that

True but politics may hurt him, IDK if teams want to put him as the face of the franchise.

Agree with hoops, R. Smith is pretty much locked in the top 20. He's rumored to run in the 4.5's, which looks right. He and Jefferson are the off-ball LB's who should go in the 1st. Smith has better instincts, and Jefferson is bigger. Both run very well.

Nwosu might not be fast enough to be worth 1st-RD consideration as an off-ball LB, but he has the instincts and versatility to play SLB in a 4-3 Over. Great agility, good play strength, and he's effective rushing off the edge or as a blitzer - deflects a lot passes. Still, you probably get the most out of him as a 3-4 OLB or SLB in a 4-3 Under. Looks like a top-50 player in this class - not an option in the 1st, but he could be there in the 2nd.

If Jefferson goes 1st rd, he will be a bust.

Anthony never showed the instincts or consistency that Jefferson has this year. He'll be a very good OLB. He's not locked into the 1st, but if he tests anywhere near as well as he did in high school, he has the tape and production to warrant a top-20 pick.

His play recognition doesn't look good to me, chooses wrong gap a lot on running plays,(trying to avoid blockers) he gets engulfed by blockers, weak at poa- no lower body strength and he doesn't have a good build to play Lb in the NFL. He looked smooth in coverage and he looks like a good blitzer with very good speed and length. I think he's a day 2 pick.

I’m at the point of if we have a chance to take an elite qb prospect in the 1st, you do it. However, I’m not taking one in the 2nd. Let’s pixk an elite prospect or forget it

Agreed. Unless somehow one of those elite prospects falls to early round 2. If so miami better be trading up to get him.

I disagree about his strength and build. I don't see any issue there - particularly for an OLB. 6'2 240, which looks about right, is plenty big. Heading into 2017, I would have agreed with you regarding play recognition, but he's improved significantly, and he looks much better outside than he did inside. He's making tackles at a higher rate than (but in the same range as) N. Bowman, Bobby Wagner, Sean Lee, and CJ Mosley did during their best years in college.

Coming out of high school, at 220 lbs, Jefferson ran a 4.39 40, jumped 39.7" in the vert, and posted a 145.65 SPARQ score. We'll see what he does at the NFL Combine, but if he freaks it, given the levels he's reach this year, and that he won't turn 22 until November, it would be surprising to see 20 better prospects, particularly in a weak class like this.

Here's my prediction: The Broncos will clean house, bring in Brees or Eli AND draft a QB high.

The Dolphins will draft a guard high and will hire a different o-line coach. At best we fire Rizzi.

Good lord, if he does this at the combine he will definitely be 1st rd, I didn't know he was that heavy 6'3 240, play strength looks weak to me, he always tries to avoid blockers taking himself out of position, but I'm sure u watched more tape on him than I did, so I will defer to your expertise. I would love for us to have that type of athlete but that would mean moving Kiko back to MLB smh, that kid is a Will.

Drafting a QB makes too much sense especially with such a strong QB class (rare). Just like how we took advantage of a strong TE class last year in the draft and signed that stud Julius Thomas instead. So I don't see us drafting one until MAYBE in the 5 or 6th round a la Brandon Doughty. Not to much mention I see our front office being too stubborn (mainly tannebum) to see that we need to RE build and they probably think we can still win now.

Hope I'm wrong, would love to draft a QB earlier.

I agree. Not sure who the QBs are coming out next year, but if the class is 2 or 3 deep get the next QB.
Tannehill can help us win for a couple seasons, then pass the baton.
Blowing picks on Tunsils, Pounceys, and James is getting foolish.
Draft the beef in rounds 2-5

tyrod evidently is gonna be fine so I'd expect a 3 game losing streak in our future...

For a LONG time we would start the season strong only to fall apart at the end of the season.

I wouldnt mind to see that trend reverse and start playing our best football at the end of the year.

We finished strong last year, do it again this year. When we finally DO get off to a good start I will feel much better not worrying about the imminent collapse.

that buffalo teams not gonna lay down either...at least not before week 17

we are leaving a bunch of plays on the field on o but we are executing on at least half of them which is far better than where we were...still have the turnover bug a boo though

Right now at best we're drafting 9 and at worst we're drafting 13 depending on SOS. Like the team always does, we won a game in garbage time against a horrible team that were missing 3 starters on defense so that Ross can feel the team is doing great and messing up our draft while doing it.

    Ozzy rules!!

I have a feeling we won’t be drafting a quarterback next year. I also think Tannehill and Cutler will both be back next year as well. Cutler will compete against Tannehill and be kept around as a backup insurance policy in case Tannehill gets hurt again.

Cutler would not come back here to sit on the pine behind Tannehill. He would be nothing but a distraction. If this team signs Cutler with Tannehill being healthy that means to me that they are looking to move on from Tannehill.

I've been saying this for the past 3 years. I am of the belief that you should draft a QB high every year until you're 100% sure you have one good enough to win a Super Bowl with and none of the QB's on our present have given me that level of confidence. And yes while we have other needs like Oline, There's not ONE olineman that you can draft with the first round pick that will fix all of the issues we have on the oline. However, a good QB can mask a lot of oline issues.
