Jarvis Landry Complaints

he does so much for this team. he's the heart and soul.
No doubt however you can't pay 3 era wr1 money, do you cut your only speed guy to sign Landry? Do you let Parker slip away? Where do you plan on sacrifing players for money to sign him to 15 m a year?

Carroo shouldn't have made the team over Stringfellow.. You can't replace Landry with that steaming pile of dogshit.

Lol the irrational hatred for Caroo is funny. You know he's a steaming pile of dogshit? How did you come to that conclusion?

It was nice to see him finally catch on in his second year and contribute yesterday . . .

Caroo is :poop.

Year. Two. Playing behind Parker, Stills, and FinHeaven's lord and savior (and future hall of famer) Jarvis Landry. You know as well as anyone that a lot of WRs take time to develop.

3 catches, man; 3. There's development and then there's completely shitting the bed and being declared inactive late in your rookie year because you can't grasp the offense. Not to mention all this talk in the offseason of him being improved yet he can't even sniff a target. Speaking of 3, it's also the same amount of draft picks we puked up for a position of non-need. Not impressed.

BTW, on topic, Landry makes this offense go. He is a crucial element in our offense. Blast away at the "unimportance" of slot recievers but you can't deny that Gase loves him and 11 personnel. Landry received an absurd amount of snaps last year and came in 3rd on the team behind only two lineman which is a position that never leaves unless hurt.

What's also being neglected in some conversations here is his run blocking willingness and ability. Not only is he the best blocking WR, he's also better than pretty much all of our TE's in that respect as well.

Love Landry and I'm pretty sure the organization does as well. But yea at the end of the day the problem with him will be his Contract demands. Hopefully they can get him at 8-9 mill a year.

I remember him talking about his rookie year and not being in shape. Of course you have to take whatever an athlete says with a huge grain of salt though. We'll see. It doesn't look promising so far, but so have many players who didn't do much in their first season. Also, if he truly turns out to be trash, it won't be because of the picks they gave up. It'll be because he's trash.

On draft day, Grier said they loved Caroo's toughness and run blocking. They traded up for him for a reason. They could definitely end up being wrong. Based on Gase's short track record, he clearly believes Landry is the better player at this point. That's refreshing. The previous clowns for coaches would've forced Caroo on the field to save face.

Love Jarvis Landry. Exciting player and who doesn't like his attitude on the football field. We need more of our players to have that attitude.

However, he is a very different player than DVP or Stills. Part of his success underneath is those other two stretching the field and he is definitely going to benefit with the conservative game plan we had going on yesterday. Also, those screen passes we all complain about are safe throws in a conservative game plan. It is fair to argue that the other receivers need to block better......but it is equally fair to argue that everyone on the field knows that play is coming since we use it so much.

If you want to say Landry's attitude on this team is the heart and soul of the Dolphins, I could agree with that. If you want to argue that Landry is our number 1 receiver and our most talented receiver, I would have to disagree. That would be DVP.

DVP is potentially our best WR. Jarvis Landry IS our best WR.

If Parker played like Landry, we would be talking about the best WR in football. Heart and intensity go a long way. Landry gets the ball because he's the heartbeat of the team. Without him on the squad our offense would have no life and stink like raw chicken in a hot car.

DVP and Stills are very good blockers especially in the run game.

I can't agree with you there. They wouldn't be on the field if they weren't capable, but that doesn't mean they're good. This holds true for just about every screen pass we see that Landry catches in that he has to create more than what is given in terms of downfield blocking by those two.
